  • Hey sidneycat,

that's right, we used rewarded videos for crystals and snail and interstetials for end game ads, and more games ofcourse. We are using chartboost as ad provider. Recently we've done some update with additional donate options, but it's not online yet.

  • Howdy!

Today is an official launch of a game I made with my friends. The game has hit Google and Apple store. In the game your task is to run as further you can without loosing ground under your feet. Be careful, floor is vanishing in front of you! Game is fun, is simple and hard. How far can you run?

We have been working on it over two months including prototyping, drawing, fixing plugins, making our own plugins for monetize and advertising networks. Yeah, we had a long way to run it smoothly on mobile devices - we've learned a lot. Finally it was wrapped using IntelXDK (with some fixes). Most fun and tragic part is that on iOS it has some critical bug! UI and sometimes player character were vanishing to! Fortunately, we manage to fix - problem was because of wkwebview - we turned it off. Update should be on apple store tomorrow.

  • Hi there fellow constructers,

I'm working on a game with slingshot mechanics, in wich I'd like to simultaneously control to objects (idea of pushing bottle caps racing). After long hours of figuring out how to control single touched object with the same name I run on a problem that I cannot control them both at once on touch screen (using two fingers - one finger for one object).

I read a lot of forums and downloaded some examples but cannot make it run on my prototype.

The most adequate topic is this one (i think) touch-controls-multiple-simultaneous-touches_t124083 but i'm not as skilled in programming as the example given in the post. Sincerely, I'm more designer then programmer and suck at maths and logic

Can anyone help me to understand how I can make this game use simultaneous touch for two slingshots at once? I think I'm on the right track but spend last hours in searching clues and running with my code in circles.

Here's a link for my prototype:

Thanks in advance for any tips!

  • Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some experianced Construct 2 developer, who will help me solve problem with image loader. A game is digital (online-web-educational + nodewebkit exe) board game (monopoly like) when on question mark you do some mini game. Most of them is image based quiz. Sometimes when loading external images files (even with node webkit) the game run on error and it freezes. I guess it might be problem with reading the file. It load an external image into an existing on screen sprite, on URL.loaded it should fade in. I'm not so skilled and it's surely my very first completed game, though I will provide you with my capx and more info on request.

    THX in advance for support!

  • Hey Construct 2 Lovers,

I'm working on a quiz game in which a have a set of 10 mini games from 5 diffrent professions. The game choose random mini game and profession and then prints 4 unique question from a set of dozens. I want to make a global Array with (X) 10 elements Width (10 minigames), (Y) 5 Height (5 professions), and push completed question into (Z) Depth.

My question is how will I check this Array on specific X, Y throghout whole Z's if contains a Number (already answered question in specific minigame(X) and type(Y).

    Anyone has some ideas?

  • Hey, it worked now as you wrote "Hundredfold".

I tired it befeore but didn't see it working on local host that's why i thought it was wrong. To makt it work locally i had to export project to html, lunch and preview on firefox.

  • Hey, I'm working on a project in which i need to load images from relative link. The problem is i'm not sure how to call a proper path. Let's say I got it on "www.gamedomain.com". I did links to external files (images loaded into a sprite):

    { Load image from "www.gamedomain.com/data/minigame1/image.jpg". }

Asuming that the main file is executioned from "www.gamedomain.com" i tried put path links like

{ Load image from "/data/minigame1/"&loadedImage } (loadedImage a variable that holds file name).

Unfortunately it didn't work. Any idea how to make it possible? I asume that if it will work I could load files the same way from local drive from relative to the game file path - is it right?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • I see... in that case I cover loaded images with additional pre-made frame sprite. It covers rough lines and gives better look

    Thx for reply Ashley! Regards!

  • I was having similar problem in my project. However, the solution solved my problem to achieve linear edges on pre-maid sprites - which is great . Is there any way to change sprite canvas size to add 1 transparent px on each side after loading an external image?

  • So simple and usefull command, how could i forgot this THANKS!

  • Wow, Thanks for such fast and accurate replay! That's exactly what i was looking for. It solves many of my issues i had on my mind

    Thanks and Regards!

  • Hey, I was thinking what if I want 1 random choice between 2 number's. For example I want or 3, or 6. I could make something like this:

floor(random(2)) > If 0 then set value to 3 else set value to 6 but is quite around i think

  • Hello Construct lovers!

I'm practicing my skills in Construct to make my game idea come true, and I stucked with custom short movement. I want to make a bunch of objects move toward right, when the last one is shot away (similar to timberman but in horizontal perspetive). I tried to use bullet behaviour but i couldn't stop it when it moves its length/width. I tried custom movement but also i couldn't make it stop when it moves 24 pixels (its width).

I was thinking about make it move and then afer system.wait(x-seconds) stops the movement but won't be pixel perfect and it's not the right way to this i guess.

Generally I want to move it for time of 0.5 second or move 48 pixel per second and stops when it travels its width. Any ideas how to make it properly?

I've made some prototype - but in this example blocks are moved in instant 24 pixel to the right, so no fluent movment is visible.

    Thanks in advance
