  • There seems to be something wrong with this plugin and I can't get any answers. I've tried uninstalling Construct2 and the plugin and even going back to a stable version. Nothing gets past this issue:

It's starting to stall my app production.

  • I found it hiding out in the user appdata folder.

  • Does this plugin put a folder in the plugins folder when you install it? I can't find it in there. I want to remove it and reinstall to test if it's corrupt or not. It's not working with the latest builds for me.

  • OK. Thanks for the confirmation.

  • I think it didn't happen but I've saved it in 143 so can't go back and make sure.

  • Oh yeah...that's right. Don't think I can edit it now. Thanks.

  • I'm getting an error when exporting to Windows 8 that I didn't have before. When I try to run in Visual Studio, I get this:

    <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10196246/adverterror.JPG" border="0" />

Anyone else getting it? I can't report is as a bug as it may be the win8advertising plugin.

  • I want to uninstall this plugin as I think it's corrupted:

    win8advertising.c2addon

I can see it when I double click a layout, yet I can't find it in the plugin folder. How can I remove it?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I know that a "link" is automatically put in the settings in the charms bar. But I've seen games where they ask you to rate the game you're playing. If you click OK, you're sent to the store to rate it.

  • I'd like to ask the player to rate and review the game if they haven't already done so. Can this be done within Construct 2? Has it something to do with URI? Thanks.

  • OK. I'll delete them in the exported folder then.

  • When I export Windows 8 apps, there are four pngs icons created (icon-16, icon-32, etc). Are these really required for Windows 8 apps? Where are they used? Thanks.

  • Well I took out the advertising object and it worked. Now to figure out why it works in another app but not this one.

  • Ashley Yes, I can't figure that out as my index.html only goes up to line 113. The only modification is the addition of one line for the adverts. I'm also using the this plugin here (and have before with no issues):

thehen I appreciate that and probably will end up sending you the VS files.

  • I'm trying to submit a Construct2 made app to the Windows Store, but it keeps coming back with an error. I can't find anything on the net about it and it works fine for me on my test machines. Here's the information they gave me. Hope someone can help:
