  • Followed. Will pm later if I have ideas.

Thanks for the follow. Can't wait to hear of any ideas you have.

  • Any kind really, platformers, mobile games, super in-depth story games, you name it. I don't really have a preference on the type as long as it's 2D and it involves pixel art.

  • Hi, I don't really know where to post this, but I just wanted to make a Construct 2 Indie game developer friend that I can make some games with (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ ✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ). I don't really know any people who use Construct 2 so I was wondering if anyone on here who doesn't know much about Construct 2 or knows a lot about C2 would like to be friends. I'd like to make some games with people, but I'm not looking to hire people, I just want to make games with someone, it's much more difficult to do it by yourself. We could make games for fun, or we can sell the games we make and make some money [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅5̲̅)̲̅$̲̅], I'm good with either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I have some good experience in pixel art, but the programming is where I get stuck the most. I understand some of it but I get lost on anything too advanced so I can only make simple games.

  • Is there no way to just combine the two documents together or do I have to just go in and literally copy paste everything in individually.

  • It's because of your player boxes collision polys. You can make the fly float without the player box by going into its animations and changing the collision box so that there is a ton of space underneath the fly and then applying it to the whole animation, but first you're going to want to extend the canvas size to 35 and align the fly to the center. then give the fly the controls you have on the player box so that you can move back and forth.

  • Yeah i'd like to be able to change the colors to help me organize but i just dont think its an option construct 2 looked into

  • either that or you can have multiple events set the gravity of the player.

  • maybe use the overlap command instead of the collision one. create and event so that whatever you want destroyed when overlapping the particles gets destroyed.

  • you can change the style of construct 2 in the view panel but i think that's about it. But whenever i change it my construct 2 crashes.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Maybe you can add another object so that when they're overlapping that it sets the gravity opposite of the other, or you could use the invert command so that when the player isn't overlapping the object it sets the gravity so whichever will make it hover. I'm not sure, I haven't tested it but i hope this helps.

  • I can't open your file because im using a different version of construct 2 but from what you've said i think if you add an instance variable(or global variable) to the balloons with an initial value of 0, and than compare it so that when the values = 1 or 2 or whatever, you can create events so that when the value ='s 1 set the gravity to 5, or ='s 2 set the gravity to 40. then make an event on the mouse click or whichever you used set the values to choose(0,1,2) which makes the system choose randomly between the numbers each time. I think you can make it choose(0-2) as well. i hope this helped. sorry if i explained it poorly. you might also be able to use arrays but i dont understand those thing so im not sure.

  • You'd probably have to use an array, i'd help more but arrays are the most confusing thing in the world to me.

  • are you saying that you want to be able to later update the game with new items, and that you need a scrolling menu that will allow so that you can come in and edit later?

  • You can make it to where you have the event player on collision with another object and then create a sub event where the player is falling onto something. then you can add the action to it to destroy or do whatever you wanted
