  • There was a great example of what you need some time ago on the forums, try to search for "physics platformer" or along those lines.

I'll try to find example capx on my harddrive.

edit: nope, couldn't find it, it was long time ago. Please search the forums, there are a multitude of examples. Also, i would recommend looking into Kyatric's great "how do i" list of examples.

  • I've updated the plugin with some new features. Please check the first post for downloads and changelog.

    Cheers!

  • This seems to work for me, hope i helped.

  • Have you programmed it to return to its original animation?

A .capx or more info on your events would be helpful for us to help you.

  • You cannot store objects in array. Arrays in C2 can only store numbers or strings.

If i understand correctly, you will want to store object UIDs and use that as a reference to an object.

Also, i suspect (but am probably totally wrong) that you can avoid storing UIDs in arrays and with events (more exactly conditions) pick a group of objects, and then apply some actions to them.

I recommend reading how events work if you haven't read it, and of course look into Families and Containers for more advanced object picking.

Hopefully i didn't miss your question.

Also, i recommend getting used to manual, i do it almost daily.

  • Yup. Asset management is pain in the a**, but they're running a business here, community wishes and actions are not a priority and we don't know what information drives their decision to spend time on twitter plugin and such, but not on making asset management easier.

I really hope they let the community to create twitter-like plugins, and spend their time making C2 IDE a better place, starting with asset management and asset store. I cannot tell how many nights i spent tinkering on this problems, and just decided not to spend any time working on it seeing how Scirra reacts when community tries to make improvements on C2.

However, it such a great tool on many other fields. Let's give them time, for now they are doing an ok job. We cannot make IDE a better place, but we can create good plugins, and community proved that long time ago.

And yes, updating sounds is a joke that bites your a** late in the development.

Edit: Superb response time on a request (r175). IDE is a better place now regarding asset management.

  • If your're trying with URL like this ( http://i.imgur.com/7ibIp6y.jpg ), it won't work.

You should convert it somehow to Base64 uri, something that looks like this:

    data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAUA

    AAAFCAYAAACNbyblAAAAHElEQVQI12P4//8/w38GIAXDIBKE0DHxgljNBAAO

    9TXL0Y4OHwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==

  • They would probably "work" but there's difference between "work" and work. You should always test your projects on your targeted platforms. There are a lot of things that could go wrong,

  • drzanuff

    All is good now.

Pode's plugin was returning a PNG url string, and this plugin supported only JPEG until today. Please re-download.

I've tested with Pode's plugin and it worked in Chrome.

Also, ive updated jsPDF to a newer version, and did some minor improvements.

If you come up with some feature requests, please share, some of jsPDF api's aren't exposed in this plugin, so there's a possibility i can implement it.

    Cheers!

edit: Add image action now takes one more argument, DataURL type, please choose between "PNG", "JPEG" and "JPG".

  • can you send me an example capx? i'll get to it tonight...

i've tested it with canvassnapahot only, so i'm not sure what's happening here.

    thanks for testing and reporting!

  • I believe this is a question best suited for nw developers, i would recommend to post your question on nw mailing list https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/node-webkit , there are a lot of active users willing to help.

  • drzanuff

I've updated the link in the first post, it should be fixed now.

    Cheers!

  • Ahh, yes, it seems i've uploaded old version! I'll update tommorow and post here!

Thanks for trying out the plugin!

    Cheers!

  • Hey, great to see someone found that tutorial helpful! I must say there are a lot of other community members that helped in creating that tutorial. I'm not happy that node-webkit is not part of a free version of C2, being MIT licensed, but i understand Scirra's decisions. They are running a business, not an open source project. It was a great effort from the whole community to get node-webkit and C2 working together!

I'm on mobile now, i'll download and test your game as soon as i can, the screenshots look great!

    Congrats!

Edit: It's a great game! Superb job for under 100 events!

  • Np, thank you for asking questions!

VvsR is a coop 2D action puzzle platformer in which the player controls four Vikings in a series of quests to liberate various Worlds from the tyranny of evil Robots!

VvsR is in development for a few months now and the team counts 8 people. The game is built with c2, nw and node. We're currently experimenting with the concept art. Some of it is hand drawn by Zlatka, like the logo and the Viking holding an axe, some of it is modeled in 3d by our 3d guru Jan and then rendered for the game like this tiny robot core concept art here: http://imgur.com/eRjcWMU.

Also, we've edited the website, you can leave a short message or a fake email in the text box if you prefer. Please send me more funny ones, so i can read them for the whole team to get a good laugh! The real email addresses, however, will be the first to receive an alpha access when it's ready.

    Cheers!
