  • Mike, I believe IOS IAP is now developed. wiki.ludei.com/cocoonjs:extensions:iap

    However, there is no integration yet to C2. We are either waiting for Scirra or Ludei to do the plugin. or some one else :)

  • do you have any non industrial based music? I don't have any games in my current pipeline that would make use of it.

    Though I might be able to make use of "f.e.a.r.ology metal kinda" for some kind of boss battle in the near future. otherwise most of the stuff I just can't use right now.

    However, you mention scary. Do you have any scary like music and while I'm not looking bow chica bow wow, something romantic would be wanted.

  • hmmm, looks inefficient, but it also looks to be a solution. I think I will try it out and see how well it works. Though I still think having it built in naturally is a better design.

  • This is a question on how do I. I don't have the capx as of yet. it's also getting large.

    I'm planning on using Spriter to make my menu for the Ouya. I plan to use animation in Spriter to do scroll up and down and use Animate to time seconds.

    The problem is when the game is paused by setting the timescale to 0.0 . Also freezes animation. How can I continue to keep the Spriter animation going while the rest of the game is frozen.

    *I don't have the spriter animation working as importing so far is a pain and I'm waiting for the next upcoming release to fix the following bugs. All objects need to be in every animation :( and the naming parts which both prevent proper displaying :(

    So this is just a theory question for now.

    YEEEEEEES, thank you for the consideration of your supporting vote on this :)

    With the Ouya the specifics are the Controllers and IAP. Those are the two primary requirements for the Ouya. Needs controllers for the obvious, but the IAP is the only way to make any money as game downloads are free.

  • The recent thread about Families reminded me a request I would like to see.

    I create various objects that get stacked into a family. However, I can't access the objects own individual Plugin.

    If for example I have shootable FadeWall with a Fade Plugin and have my bullet's check for WallFamily. I don't have access to the Fade Plugin if i'm doing collision check on WallFamily. However if I check for FadeWall. I get FadePlugin and any plugins of the WallFamily. However, the innate problem with that. Is that I need to add extra lines of events to not only check against WallFamily, but also FadeWall. So i'm not really making it more effective as I need the extra events.

    When checking through family I should have access to any specific Object plugins that are in the immediate family, objects own plugins and including related family if the Object is part of 2 or more family.

    Also an event that checks the Family should have a way to identify which Object in the family has been triggered.

    Doing this will increase Family productivity by a large amount :)

  • There is a endless runner template. With some of the plugins like rojohouonds canvas and stuff. You could probably get a smooth ski like terrain.

  • I'm with Velojet, the code really isn't straightforward. it's filled

    preparation code,

    canvas determination,

    layer and event handling code

    plugin code

    then the layers and event sheets

    it's nothing I would recognize as standard game coding. I think the real question is what is he expecting from you. just game code or code you wrote?

  • I agrea a "break" action to end loops and sub-events would be a nice feature.

    You can Copy an action.

    Highlight the condition block. Then Paste. It will paste into the action section of the block.

  • Perhaps we should reach out to ouya to see if some of that kick starter money can help us get games on there. If c2 can easily deploy games on the system it would be a major advantage because there will be more games. The more games, the better the system.

    I understand that point. C2 doesn't run on Android, it's wrapped. As a wrapper is the path to go. CJS is the best, too bad it crashes on Ouya :( However The Kickstarter Ouyas are going to start shipping March 28. So us developers have until early April to finish our projects and hopefully CJS or the PhoneGap plugins to be ready :)

  • ok, well here is what is happening as I know it

    rfisher(C2) is working on a PhoneGap plugin. I've heard it's in the works and coming along, but nothing ready for release.

    JameS327(Ouya dev forums) is also working on a PhoneGap controller plugin. It's also coming along, but no word as to what sate it's in. I've suggested that they pool there effort and resources. No word on that either.

    As for CJS. The problem isn't performance. It's that CJS crashes on the Ouya. With that there doesn't seem to be any reason to push CJS further until new news comes. I've asked Ludie on the forums, and while interested they haven't shown any enthusiasm to have it ready by early April :( I've asked the Ouya team to see if they can nudge them, and mentioned they would, but I haven't heard anything as of yet.

    As for PhoneGap. We are waiting on the news from Lorenbeer? who is working on a plugin for PhoneGap called Pender. Pender design is to give PhoneGap an accelerated Canvas. So with rfisher and hopefully Pender ready by late March we might have a build profile for C2 to the Ouya.

    As for myself. I've been tinkering with GameClosure, but am having problems with getting the right Canvas for C2 to use on an android device. Also the GameClosure support is seriously lacking. GC has a 9 man team where as Scirra with it's 3 man team replies 30 times the amount.

    As for Scirra. I haven't heard anything from Scirra in regards to working with the Ouya. Honestly I think that for except a small internet niche most don't really have any interest in the Ouya. It's no IOS or standard Android so most are sorta meh :(

    I feel however I'm sure we will have something cobbled together by early April :)
