  • Thanks for that, I'm new to this and don't want to head down the wrong path

  • I'm looking for a game engine for designing iOS mobile games, I love Construct 3 but have found this issue while testing on an iPad using Xcode, something about web assembly issue. It's an old iPad but a lot of people have old iPads and Im concerned is construct a viable option for doing mobile games with. I don't want to spend the next few months learning an engine if it's not fit for iOS development. Has anyone else come across this and should I be concerned.

  • Thanks all will have a look

  • The rooms / layout are pre-made, but they are connected randomly. So the game would have to know which rooms have doors on their left, right, top or bottom and which don't, place a room next to it that fits that criteria, and do it again until finished. It would also have to remember the the order, so they player can back track, and possibly create a mini-map of the floor plan.

  • I've got an array called objects

contains say monster 1 and monster 2

    I've 2 objects setup called monster1 and monster 2

How would I pick a random monster from the array and display on the screen at the start of the layout.

    Thanks

  • Thanks Ashley

  • Hi All

I've had a search through the forums but not found an answer, id there any limit

on the number of rooms you can include, if say I had 500 levels each 1 room what impact

    is this going to have.

    Many thanks

  • Thanks Spongehammer, you could be right, some rooms may have several exits I thought of storing room numbers in an array so you could go back and forwards and have a different map each time

  • Hi

I'm trying out a random dungeon with multiple layouts ie 1 layout 1 room,

each room has exits to another layout. I'm think of making each exit random to a different room.

Probably using an array to store each room number and exits to a different room number,

whats the best way to deal with rooms with on the outside of the grid so you dont get any exits that dont have a adjacent room.

    Hope this make sense.
