You didn't let me get a word in, then again I should have added this to begin with.

It's been 6months and a colleague of mine downloaded a pirated version of Scirra, created a game and is now making $200 daily from an PC/APP he published.

He showed me this, an image of the income the game is bringing in as well as the pirated software: imgur.com/9DD21

There are loopholes and gray areas that can easily be exploited.

Well, he told me he got around the 5,000 payment and it shows.

A game can be compiled as an individual 'desktop/android.executable' so anyone can publish a game without showing... and I'm guessing here... any worded documentation that gets attached to the various RAW folders/files containing the words 'Scirra/Construct/SERIAL/KEY' or similar, will be lost.

You can also go in there and remove it yourself using: [removed]

Making it easy to publish a game without having to pay any of the fees.

So I find it hard to believe Ashley... was just hoping to gain some insight, simple curiosity.

[quote:368j29vp]The individual is permitted to make up to $5,000 USD lifetime revenue (or equivalent in other currencies/payments/benefits) from their creations. This includes but is not limited to revenue generated through advertisments, in app purchases, sale of content, licensing of content, contract work.

If you generate more than the above stated revenue you must upgrade your Personal Edition License into a Business Edition license within 14 days regardless of if you intend to continue use of your license or not.

How does Scirra know when an indie dev or group has made that amount of money?

If say I published to Steam Grennlight?
