• Personnally i have no problem with GIMP interface, its pretty much like blender interface imo,

it may look a bit "WTF" when you first try it, then you set all windows like you want, become familiar with

keyboard shortcuts and you work 2-3 times faster than usual, with everything you need at hand =)

GIMP can also use photoshop brushes and photoshop plugins (with the pspi plugin), wich is a very big advantage

(Ive seen paint.net can also use photoshop brushes but it seems a bit buggy)

The only thing that piss me off in GIMP are these damn floating windows who doesnt reduce when you reduce the main window, i really hate that

Can't say about photoshop, never tried it >.<

PS. Gimp 2.8 will have a single window mode, and lots of new features

  • Done, thanks Arima :)

  • My pleasure, but you're right, i just checked myself many examples in the list, about 80% of the links just disappeared..

let's hope its temporary .. otherwise, glhf

  • For some reason i can now edit my post here so its alright.

Arima i tried Submit tutorial but that wont be good, first

i have to enter all links manually wich is just insane and then

the page layout isn't looking good with long lines of text so i think i'm just staying on this section

    Anyway thanks all

  • "Submit a Tutorial

You currently do not have enough reputation to create a tutorial. This is not because we don't want you to, it's simply because it is a beta feature and we want to make sure everything is running smoothly before allowing everyone to submit one!

Currently you can submit a tutorial when you have 250 reputation."

    Oh well ..

  • I see, thanks, gonna try that today

  • Hmm.. maybe im just blind but where the hell is that "edit" button now ?

  • That's the best way to go indeed

You should read this article :

It's really full of exellent advices

Point 6 is the answer to your question

  • Miu3 : Would be too much work, however with some help

(and with their agreements), why not !

    procrastinator : Added, thanks

deadeye : No problem, i updated the links

Please for all examples/tutorials writers, try to follow chrisbrobs and DravenX example,

who include a screenshot and wich version of construct they used, that's really helpful !

    Thank you !

  • Yeah this one was my favorite for ages, but you can't use layers in free version

    wich is kinda sad

Recently i found this one :

    http://www.phoxo.com/en/

It's more or less like photofiltre exept it has an exellent layer management,

toggle window with all effects + thumbnails, cliparts, etc

Give it a try it really worth it (4mega / free / portable)

  • Done

  • This thread is great, but is there a way we can know what versions of Construct are being used for each example/tutorial? Without knowing, it's a kind of a guessing game as to whether an example/tutorial will open or not, or even work if it does open.

i used to test every file before dropping them in the list

all examples without ? worked with the previous version of construct (so 0.99.96 i guess)

    Haven't tried with 0.99.97.

Only a few of them were partially working (like platformer tutorial)

  • small up. put a "?" at the new added links
