  • I look my event over and over and I tested the exported game a few times. Apparently when it calls some of the functions in the Lobby Event Sheet, they don't work. I think that's the reason for the things not working. I dont know if the rest of the functions work, though. How Do I fix this?

  • Um, every time I export and test it, it all works fine until you press "Start Game". It just says "Starting Game...." or something like that, and nothing happens. Also the chat thingy won't work. Is it because I made it a button to send messages instead of pressing enter/return? Here is the CAPX, can you tell me what's wrong?

    EDIT: This was before I saw your pic explaining the name thing. Also I'm going to put your name in the game credits for helping me with all this stuff. Should I put Rexrainbow or something else?

  • What If I wanted to put a text box over each player saying their username?

  • In the bottleneck object, you have to change the channel from local host to heroku.

  • Astrosus Okay I almost got it working, the login and the lobby work perfectly, but the start game button doesn't work, so Im gonna try to figure that out (with the help of rex, of course).

  • Okay it works! Thanks! But there's still a problem. When I press the button to send the chat message in the lobby (I made a button instead of pressing return/enter) it doesn't work, and neither does it when it's triggered by pressing return/enter. Also, when 'start' is pressed, it says 'starting game..." and then nothing happens.

  • rexrainbow Oh yes i've seen that. I don't they they've been released yet though. But, I want to give this method a try. I want to be SURE if this works or not.

  • Yes I used it. In the game on dropbox it's in the login event sheet. On the one I have it's in the lobby event sheet (I moved it).

  • I keep getting this:

    And it's like only one player can be in the lobby (I set the max to 4). If you want to test it, go here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/61808535/Sage's%20Dungeon%20MultiPlayer/index.html and when the title screen comes up click 'normal'. And for my froind it still keeps trying to connect.

  • Okay, I just tested it, on my computer it said "connecting to lobby..... login failed! InvaderX joined." and I couldn't chat. On my friend's computer it said "connecting to lobby..." and never changed. How do I fix this?

    EDIT: I tried this twice more, and now it just gives me "Login Failed!"

  • Astrosus After several hours of figuring out the events and creating a multiplayer mode on my game, I'm almost done, I'll tell you when I test it out!

  • If I wanted each play to see their score using the same text box, how would I do that? Like each player sees their own score

  • Okay, I used your example and made a multiplayer mode..thingy in my game. When I test is, is it supposed to say "login failed!"?
