  • Tried it, it works and seems stable. Awesome. =)

    Edit:

    Question.

Please note: we may make this a licensed-only feature.

do you mean as in if you have a Standard/Business license for C2, or a separate license for the wrapper?

  • My friend Hemul1 sent me this video of a guy messing around with a game and some code. Some of you have probably already seen it. Essentially editing the code as the game is running, which is not entirely new. But then adds time manipulation and recording actions into the mix. Pretty cool.

Maybe some ideas for C2 could be gleaned from this?

  • You haven't included the event sheet. Right click somewhere in the sheet area (not on an event of course), choose "include event sheet" and pick the sheet you want.

  • Canabalt did something like that, maybe take a look at that?

I want to kick every VGS spammer in the head. It's so annoying.

Still a fun game though. :)

  • Steam had a sale on Space Marine, so I'm playing that currently.

  • Tribes Ascend

  • In Photoshop you have the History view, which shows the actions you've done in a list. Something like that would probably be a helpful addition to C2.

  • but if it has grinding then I won't be interested regardless.

From what I've heard the gameplay is very much like WoW. Almost to such an extent that you can check the similarities point by point and get almost identical results (ok maybe a bit of hyperbole there). So yeah, there probably is a fair bit of grind, but I've heard the argument that "the story is so good" that it doesn't feel like a grind. I'm more than a bit skeptical of the accuracy of that statement, but then again I am far from the target audience for this game.

  • Have you tried restarting your router? The router could've had a connection hiccup and lost the connection. Where I lived previously we had a shared connection over several routers and they'd fail all the time, causing DNS errors. So unless you've already tried it, restart the router and modem. See what happens.

  • My first thought is to have three events.

    +Player: On collision with "solid"

    +Player: Platform: is on floor

    • Ramp: set jumpthru disabled

    +Player: Platform: is jumping

    -Ramp: Set jumpthru enabled

    +Player: Platform: is falling

    -Ramp: Set jumpthru enabled

Try that, I did a quick test of it and it seems to work, but there also seems to be some minor issues.
