  • I'm not the best at explaining things but I'm willing to help you out with uploading, I upload my games to my web server with filezilla . Your webhost might have an upload system in its cpanel or whatever backend it uses.

You just need to export the game and copy the entire file directory (the exported game file) to where you want it on your webserver. You could use something like an iframe to embed your game onto a different webpage of your site.

Sorry if that doesn't make a great deal of sense, Do you have a server to upload your game to?

  • Haha wow how simple, thanks you two.

  • Sorry in advance I'm more than sure someone has asked this before or its covered in a document somewhere but my search efforts are coming up dry.

How would one keep UI elements such as score and life in their places when the game is scrolling the view around. I can see it done in the space shooter demo but cant quite get the same result. Also had a look in the ghost shooter example and tried to anchor it with no luck.

I wont upload the capx yet as it doesn't really seem like an issue related to that, just unsure as to how to tackle this. Cheers!

  • Looking really cool so far, will keep an eye out on its progression!

  • Try Construct 3

  • Cool game, and cool to see it on Kongregate.

Well done, some of the solutions to the levels are interesting :)

Interesting read, I've seen some construct2 games on Kongregate so thats another possible path to try earn a few dollars off smaller games. developers.kongregate.com

  • Strangely enough... its working now... I changed the name to have capitals on the animation names and the code names just to make it clean for sharing to troubleshoot.. also messed with play from current frame. Launched it and it ran...

I feel like a bit of an idiot now, wonder what happend for that to work?

Is there a way to delete posts? Else a moderator can lock this. I may edit my post if i find out what happend on the odd chance it does to anyone else.

  • Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked before, tried the search to no avail. Anyways, this should hopefully be an easy fix to a newb question.

Im playing with the tank assets at the moment, ive set an animation called Up, Down, Left and right (leaving diagonals out for the time being).

Now I've set 8 direction movement as a behavior and am now trying to use the event sheet in order to change the animation depending on the key thats been pressed. I went about doing it like so:

Keyboard > On right arrow pressed > Tank > Set animation to "Right"

and then the exact same for left but with right instead. Nothing seems to be happening though, it just keeps on its default right direction no matter which key im holding or have pressed. Im sure im overlooking something so thank you for reading this and hopefully showing me where ive gone wrong.

  • Really cute idea, and really well done. Great job :) all the best and congrats!

  • Love the grass. As Somebody said, it's looking a lot like limbo.. just bright and happy. Can't wait to see how you put your own spin into it though, the physics puzzles look like they could get interesting with all the interactions in it so far.

I think the main 'Limbo-likeness' would be the character's pulling animation, perhaps if/when you add more character to the protagonist you could give him a funny strained expression or something to set him apart?

Bravo and cant wait to see it finished ;P
