  The manual talks of local variables and how to add them, but that doesn't seem to work. Are local variables still a thing?

  Your fix works just fine.

  So when the manual says "Events run top to bottom" I should take that with a pinch of salt!

  I don't have much experience with Construct 3 and I'm struggling a bit. I have shared a link to a copy of my nascent project below.

  What I hoped it would do...

  There are two playing pieces on the board. They flash if selected.

  1) Left-click on a playing piece to select it and deselect any other piece if that is already selected.

  2) Left-click on the square, blue button on the right to move the selected piece to the middle-ish of the board.

  3) Left-click anywhere else to unselect the selected piece.

  Items 1 & 3 work...but item 2 does not. Can you tell me why?

  In MULTIPLAYER TUTORIAL 2: CHAT ROOM it says "Also it checks the Is supported condition in the Multiplayer object". In the example I can also see this...

  

  But if I try to create a new multiplayer event there is no "Is supported" or "Supports Multiplayer" condition available...

  

  Why is this?

  Saving to the cloud starts off working just fine but after 20 minutes or so, when I go to save my project to OneDrive, this window appears asking me to sign in. Is this normal? Can I do something to prevent this happening?

  It's not a big deal. If I click on the account at the bottom it saves the project. It's just a bit annoying.
