  • Hey guys!

I'm developing a small adventure game for iPad. Currently most of the main logic is programmed, except the main character movement.

I wanted the character movement in a similar way to this game (except that it will be in 2D): Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery (see it on the App Store/Youtube please, I can't paste URL's yet)

Things that I pretending to do:

    1. The character must move only horizontally;

    2. The character will move only if the user is swiping left or right;

Could someone please help me with it? Maybe explaining me the logic or supplying me a .CAPX?

I'm a Illustrator/Graphic Designer, and this is my first game. I still learning programming

Thanks for any help and sorry for any English mistakes.

    Cheers,

    GuiReis.

  • Hey guys!

I'm developing a small platform game for college. Many things have already been programmed, except the platform lifts. They must be similar to Elevator Action's lifts, but I don't know how implement it using Construct.

Could someboy please help me with that, I'm still learning Construct - this is actually my second game!

    Many thanks!

  • Thanks for reply, but could you be a little bit more specific about the moving angles? I'm still really newbie in Construct 2 and programming... Many thanks for help!

  • Hey guys!

I'm developing a Point And Click game in Construct. Everything is correct setup, but I'm having some issues related to the sprite movement.

For the basic sprite movement, I'm using Rex Move To Behavior plugin (avaible in this forum )

The problem is that my sprite has four different animations. How do I switch them according to the direction as it moves?

I really appreciate any help for solving this. Perhaps it is easy, but I can't figure out the logic for this.

I'd attached the .capx containing an example of what I am trying to do. Thanks!

  • Thank's!!!

    You really really helped!!!

  • Well, that should help. Thanks!

Sorry if I was unclear in my explanation, 'cause I want to archive someting like LucasArts character movement, in other words, the sprites has animations for it's front, back and side view.

But thanks again, you really helped me! :-)

  • LittleStain, thanks for your help!

I saw the move to mouse example in Construct 2 and it's very easy <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />, but how do I make the sprite changes it animation relative do mouse position?

    Many thanks for your help!!!

  • Hi,

How do I make a sprite move to mouse click and it's animation change relative to mouse position (like the Lucas Arts point and click games)?

I already read the Mouse Click on How-To section, but I that didn't understood...

    Thanks!

  • Hello!

My name is Guilherme Reis, I'm a graphic designer. Recently I bought Construct 2 on Steam, and I really love it!

Well, still studying how to use, I hope that here I can learn thousands of new things, develop a great game (actually a point and click adventure, I already wrote the script, and currently doing the graphics!), and make friends!

    Bye!

    PS: Sorry my poor English!

  • Hello guys, first of all apologies for my poor english.

I'm currently studying how to use Construct 2 (and all I can say is that I'm loving it, bought it on Steam and it's my best purchase for the year!) Well, I apologize if my question seems too silly, but I couldn't find answers to this:

->How do I make a footsteps sound play every time a sprite is walking on stage on key press? I tried, but the sound makes in a strange loop, like several sounds playing at once ...

    Please help me if possible.

    Thanks!
