  • Go to Layer 0's Properties and set Transparent to Yes.

  • Bingo! Gmoney - you led me to learning how to post a capx ... Korbaach - you found the error. Thank you guys.

You're welcome, delusan. I'm glad the issue was resolved.

  • I would like to have the background layer scaled, so there is no letterboxing on different aspect ratios.

However, the UI layer (which in my case consists of a progress bar and button at the bottom) should always be visible and stay anchored to the bottom of the browser window.

Reading examples and tutorials I thought that adding an Anchor to the progress bar should suffice but unfortunately it does not. For portrait orientation the progress bar is anchored at the bottom and visible, but for landscape it disappears.

Could anyone tell me which steps to take in the above Capx to achieve the desired outcome?

Have you tried Global Layout found under Layer Option's Editor Properties?

  • I've have imported the arraytext.json file into Projects/Files/icons but the array still shows only 0,0,0. Not real clear on what is meant by '1. Saved array.json file to same folder'.

That's just one of the steps I took. I copied the json file to the same folder that contained .capx, but I don't think that's necessary.

Could you post your capx, please?

  • Gmoney and Aphrodite , thanks for the help so far!

I have a theory, but I need to test it: could you try running/testing the game as normal 4 times, and check if each of them is laggy or not, and at what instances do they become laggy (being spotted, moving, opening/closing door, etc). Then, run/test the game again but with every/most program(s) closed. Then, revert the program to any previous version (ie r227) and redo the two tests again. Please do post the results when you have done so, and any other users can help out too!

    Thanks in advance!

    You're welcome, JDebstup.

    Here are my test results.

    Normal - R233

    First play - No lag

    Second play - No lag

Third play - Laggy after encountering an emeny shotgunner. The lag didn't go away after the initial encounter.

    Fourth play - No lag

    Lite - R233

First play - Game became laggy after I put shotgunner at the first door and moved up and down to dodge bullets.

    Second play - No lag

    Third play - No lag

    Fourth play - No lag

Tried it on R277, but the file won't open, because it was made for R233.

  • Thank you koorbach. When I run debug mode, I can see the data from the file when i click on 'ajax', but when i click 'array' the 3 array values are empty.

That sounds like the array.json file was not added to the capx file.

    Here's an example.

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/j730z3m05rjnw ... .capx?dl=0

    Explained

    1. Saved array.json file to the same folder.

    2. Right clicked [Files] under Projects Property and selected [Import Files].

  • Please post the game URL again without The URL got cut off.

    thank you friends

    finaly i make it

thanks a lot is very helpful

    thanks a Gmoney

  • Gmoney , thanks for the reply! No, the 0.25 timescale is meant to give the player a slo-mo effect and some time to react when it is first spotted by an enemy (in similar manner to Metal Gear Solid V, Arkham Knight & GTA 5). The slo-mo effect is intended for both enemy types, but that's definitely not where the lag comes from.

You're welcome, JDebstup. Oh, ok. I played again, but the game wasn't laggy. I'm on Intel i7 system with Windows 7 64 bit R233 with Nwjs for C2 v0.17.0.

Could anyone else try as well?

Wow. I realized in the middle of the night that I had the wrong code in the set animation section. It works fine now - thanks for your response anyway!

    You're welcome, Dangerbreaks.
