  • I been trying and i ended up giving up on the whole thing. Doing something far more original now, but thanks for your input, i did toy with it and learned new things, which is always welcome.

  • Hi community, im looking to do an Ecco the Dolphin 8 way movement mecanic where i dash over a wall from water pond to water pond while im dashing in the air (out of the water), so i cant move for like 2 seconds, so my chracter does a hop over the obstacle like that old game and it can move while doing a small semi circle.

    I tried Bullet, Tween, Move To... while disabling controls, everything i can think of and nothing works, any ideas?

  • Well i managed go get the player moving again but the camera doesnt follow me anymore with a simple scroll to behavior... dont know what is going on i really need help

  • If i make a new layout and add the existing character and include the main event sheet, it works, but on the layout i been working on for a while doesnt. Very strange.

  • UPDATE TWO. When going up (key uparrow or a pressed), it changes direction for the sprite but doesnt do anything else at all. Animations are still there and all except that it doesnt respond to my movement command, either keyboard o gamepad

  • Update: when adding KEYBOARD controls, doesnt move at all. But the player goes up if i want to go up (o direction)... progress?

  • Hi... I need help please... I just migrated from Construct 2 to Contruct 3 and looking at the code, everything seems okay, everything is there... but when i turn it on... doesnt move or do anything at all, but when i hint start, pause, the menu comes up and everything else doesnt work at all The screen starts flashing and blinking... not good. And my gamepad doesnt react at all (no other control method). Should i do something when i swap versions?

  • Thanks for the answer. I ended up doing math and when i loaded my project into the free version it gave me a good offer and since i live in a VAT-free zone is much less. So now im a happy owner of Construct 3.

  • I been using and loving Construct 2 for a while now, developing a metroidvania, so far so good except when i find a Construct 3 tutorial, the only tutorial for that i can find, and more and more i come across this situations, sometimes even out of the blue. So... GameMaker 2 is free now... and Construct 3 is 20$ per months, steep. No permanent purchase. So im decidint to swith over to GM... but before i make a choice... i like Construct, im used to it. Does really have Game Maker so much advantage to Construct 3? Is worth tha pain learning the engine from scrath? Please help me. Sorry for my english. Very sorry.
