  • I found out construct 2 in steam.

i am addicted to play many free to play games, from browser to desktop apps games.

but i know i can only get the full fun out of games by actually making them myself.

at a very young age, i have already started making games.....with pencil and paper.

now, construct 2 has given me a second chance to make games again,

to feel the real thrill and excitement of gaming.

im interested in those fps games, mmorpg, action side scrolling games and all the hot new games

out there that requires a good computer.

unfortunately, my computer is getting old, so for now, im sticking to browser games

and attempting to make games myself.

current list of games im looking to develop:

challenge tower defense: hardcore difficulty that you keep on replaying like "chess"

the tower defense game have nothing to do with chess, it seems to be the only thing that

attracts people to play my game, lol, my newer version of the game with another description

    was left ignored.

challenge limbo: ahhhh.... basically super big maze, you can never find the ending,

its kinda boring but i meant it to be more of a troll game, at the startscreen, i will advise people

to listen to their youtube playlist though.

(there is an ending.....or is there?)

challenge simcity: sounds nice until you realized its all text. lololololololl

challenge rpg: first, its all text based, second, you only need to press 1 fight button to do all the fighting.

this game lets you focus on what weapons, armours you should wear and where should you go fight.

the fighting button is spammable. you can click 1 button from day to night, just to progress in this simple game.

challenge troll: currently this is just an idea, should be too difficult to implement for now, you are basically a troll

in a side-scrolling platform, there will be quests for you to do but unfortunately you are jumping too high,

    walking too fast and others.

this is inspired by all the funny games in scirra arcade...

  • i want to make 3D mmorpg that people can escape their lives and start to fun in their virtual world.

    1. low graphics so everyone can play

    2. weapons range from swords to fps guns to sorcery books

    3. you can obtain anything in the game by grinding not paying, including classes, skills

    4. inactiveness will cause your level and other stats to drop until they reach 0.

(as players with full level have no motivation to play.)

  • Hi there, please try out my new game and let me know what you think about my new game.

This current version of Challenge Tower Defense is free for your use, if you need

to make a tower defense game.

  • spacedoubt

    you are awesome!

it works, i have placed the order of events wrongly.

    wait 0.1

    set solid enabled/disabled

    regenerate obstacle map

*( i never place any wait here. )

    then find path

  • thanks a lot!

i have finally been able to switch solid states of objects while

the sprites are able to switch pathfinding through objects accordingly.

i have make the working example, but there seems to be a bug,

the first time i click okay button to change solid states of objects,

the sprites doesn't reacts to it.

subsequent switching of solid states of objects does

successfully cause the sprites to react.

  • ok, when a solid object is there,

a sprite will automatically avoid the solid object as obstacle.

but i dun get it why when i make the solid object non-solid,

the sprite stills automatically avoid the solid object as obstacle.

    making games is hard, sigh...

  • i am doing an rpg game,

and i barely have any motivation to continue to expand the game

if i dun have a reliable save system.

    (webstorage and local storage)

if i use my ccleaner, all data is gone.

i dun feel safe at all with webstorage and local storage for

    an long rpg game.

    is the following possible?

a- save the entire game into a gameslot like offline computer game, which i guess will requires a text file to be generated as well.

b- make it like other games in the internet, make user accounts and

        passwords?

(i like and want this, but i have no idea how to do it.)

(i might currently switch to a new game which is like arcade fighting

with comboes as it dun really requires a save system.)

  • received the redeem code from the support team.

exchanged the redeem code from the c2 website.

placed downloaded text file into my c2 folder.

    personal license, administrator rights received.

    fantastic <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • lol, i bought another personal license from the c2 website itself....

still no redeem code given to my email.

currently i sending the new transaction id to the support email and

    waiting impatiently....

  • Try Construct 3

  • thx for the quick reply, i discovered construct 2 through steam advertisements.

i finally found the c2 license in steam.

i dun like that i now requires to open steam just to play c2.

shouldn't have gone for the license through steam.

and i cant export my current game in free version to steam probably

    due to version differences.

steam sucks literally. (just venting my anger and regret.)

steam gives no product code one.

  • sorry, im not sure where to put this topic.

i had paid personal license from steam but received no product code.

the 100 events limits is always there, i dunno how to remove it.

i got a confirmation code in my email but it gives no result when placed

    in activate product code.
