  • 914 events for a challenge tower defense v 3.0, i thought i probably had reached too much events for a game,

    its getting more and more crazy hard to try and add in new stuffs and to find one thing in 914 events.

    i have put in lots and lots of groups to make my game easier to navigate, but i still think its wasting too much time

    and effort. my last update is adding a campaign which is having lots of other layouts/ maps but uses the same events.

    after that i will probably give up trying to improve it.

    how the heck suntank and rekjl navigate through 6000 events, LOL.

  • rather than posting another thread, i will write my problem here

    some time ago, i was unable to update my games on scirra arcade anymore.

    so i spent a lot of effort in polishing up my game and to release a whole new version and upload the new

    game to scirra arcade, but i cant upload my new game.

    so i wait a while for new updates to come then changed my construct 2 to latest version, and then upload my new game,

    after filling up all my data, the website just refresh the page with all my written data still there, but my new game was not uploaded.

    i will stop wasting my time trying to upload or update my new game until someone in this thread tells me that the upload problem is solved.

  • im nub at construct 2 but i think its not possible to destroy sprites partially.

    however

    2) you can create lots of solid sprite for your earth (just copy paste), the digger can dig a tunnel through it by destroying bits and bits sprites.

    1) lol i dunno what you saying.

    i remembered last time i am pro at construct 2 and i did something like a knight holding a sword,

    i can easily destroy the sword only and not the knight. (but its more like 2 sprites instead of a total of 1 sprite.)

    basically, rather than partially destroying sprites, why not make more sprites and put them besides each other or even pin them together like my knight holding a sword then destroying them separately.

  • i personally think that steam is annoying cuz everytime you need to use scirra, you need to startup steam, load some stuffs, wait dunno for what just to start your scirra thing.

    if you buy from this site, you just 1 click your desktop shortcut to scirra and everything is out. and when you dun like steam anymore and want to uninstall steam, you can't cuz you have your scirra in steam.

    and is it just me or is scirra license getting more and more expensive...(pardon if not, i have

    got a very bad memory.)

    actually games that really inspires me are games i made with pencil and paper when i was younger, impossible mazes, rpgs that you have to calculate how much damage done to hp mentally, and something like the sims, you have to work to eat and play and travel around, army games, chess and a lot of others....

  • i would prefer free to play card game.

    to buy new booster packs, you will need to play a lot to gain virtual coins.

    (increasing the number of people playing your game at any time, making it more "popular"'

    and have a more active playerbase so your players can find opponent to challenge any time.)

    to create your dream deck, you basically have to grind for months...

    now this is where the cashers come from, they can just pay real money to gain virtual coins and

    immediately make their ultimate best deck which kills the fun of game as they dun need to grind

    but usually cashers dun really sweat about this stuffs....they will find some other games to grind or donate...

    then after the free to play players have grinded their almost complete deck, you release a new update,

    forcing them to play a few months to get their hands of all the cool new cards.

    though this is what looks like most online card game.

    p.s. i also like to make a card game, battling with AI though.

    but its too complicated for me, it would great if you can share some of your codes with me or everyone.

  • my games seems to be very different from you all but i do have played those favourite games posted by you all.

    they are in no particular order.

    1. dragonica/dragon saga

    2. cosmic break

    3. tekken 6

    4. mousehunt

    5. travian

    6. the first simcity game ever made (now my computer cant play cuz i think i 64 bits or something else)

    7. wolfteam

    8. Elements card game

    9. transformice

    10. pets society, farm game, restaurant city from the same company in facebook that mysteriously dissapeared...

    i didn't know you can profit from making games.

  • im not buying anything but it would be interesting if people can sell a whole completed game so buyers can just modify the game using the given sprites, given events, given layouts and also add in their own stuffs.

    for example people are interested in those popular games like flappy birds, angry bird, candy crush.

    for me im interested in making a card game (google Elements card game), which is a very difficult and

    time wasting game to create so buying a completed one rather than starting scratch sounds more sane.

    wont get cashers instantly kill you.

    and also all the classes are useful though i still prefer the firepower ones.
