  • Thanks, guys. I'll test all these shortly. ;)

  • I know this has to be possible, but I've been looking for it but obviously my search parameters are not the correct one.

I'm debugging my thing, and I'm trying to use a text list or a button style menu.

But in order to test them nicely, I have to remake events, so is it possible to add two events that do the same actions?

    [On Touched] [Text]           -Actions

    (or) [On Touched] [ButtonX]

I can do this, duplicating the same actions for separate events, but I'd keep my code tidy if I could merge events like that.

Of course it will. The less space occupied, more efficient your game becomes.

  • Why not make your pixel art in powers of 20 and then rescale after completed and import them in their real size?

Can't see the problem there. Or are you referring to tilesets instead of characters?

  • Well, I tried this once (not in Construct, though).

You can add a bit of delay on its movements when changing directions by a random amount, so it responds at different speeds when the ball changes direction.

  • I got this in my mailbox:

    Hello Jos,

First of all thank you for your interest in CocoonJS. We are currently working to make Construct2 games to work inside CocoonJS. We are also working on supplying more detailed documentation on how to use the technology and what are the features we support, how to slightly modify your game, etc.

Hope we can provide it soon.

    Regards,

    Iker

  • I ask Tom to move this to "Help Wanted", please.

  • Alright, let's start this. I'm going good in my effort and found my comfort area and need a bit of help, namely, art.

I am making a story kind of app, and need pictures to accompany each story.

The base theme is farm animals (rats, rooster, and cow). I need someone to make me a drawing with the animal represented.

At this point, I have three stories, I have some placeholder imagery, but, coming from different sources, the style does no match, of course.

    So, here's what I need:

First story, a cow, second a pair of rats, one saving the other who has his tail trapped in a rat trap, and third, a rooster, singing proudly. Style: cartooninsh.

I would like to know how much you'd take for each drawing, or how much for a bulk of drawings (I'd need quite a few, actually). Of course money is a factor.

I'd also like to see some of your art, of course, or even a sample to any (or all) the situations I provided.

Dimensions for each drawing: 960x400 or any power of it, no less than 480x200.

Feel free to PM or reply here, no problem.

    Thanks.

Good to read, man! I'm fully engrossed on my app and am at the point where gathering resources is tricky (images and sounds).

I've developed my 'barebones' system for rapid expansion, so I just need to copy a few functions here and there.

I'm just adding images and making a few buttons. My artistic skills are lacking, though. :p

  • I was under the impression Adobe pulled the plug on Flash development.

'tilewidth' is the width of the source image, so it can loop back on itself seamlessly.'

He wrote it in his post... Last sentence.

  • I'm not sure you understand your own questions.

To put something up in Apples' Appstore you must pay them 99$ flat, regardless of the software you use, even if a free one.

No way to run away from it, no way to avoid it.

Regarding "game makers", YOU must find the one you prefer AND hope it exports to IPad/IPhone, for which you'll REQUIRE a Mac, on top of a possible insane price for the exporter alone, if not using one of the services mentioned here.

    The cheapest:

    C2 + Phonegap + Apple Dev account

    The best:

Don't know, but will be a strain on your income.

  • Slick game, I believe it's worthy to mention.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Ah... That is something that had crossed my mind, though I have no recollection of installing any codec.

  • Not really needed to post a capx, just stick an .ogg file in your project and run it in IE9.

I inserted a moo.ogg, so there might be some C2 magic behind?
