I am really liking what I am seeing in construct so far too. Thanks so much for the fast answer. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />

  • I am not good with legal speak. The EULA seems to be pretty clear about free distribution of Construct itself as far as it and any modifications to it go.

But am I legally bound to distribute source code and/or files with everything I create USING Construct? Whether I am selling it for money or giving it away for fun?

The reason why I am asking, is that I currently own MMF2 Developer, and I am working on some semi-commercial projects. Construct looks like it could easily evolve into a vastly superior tool one day, and I am wondering what the terms and conditions might be for someone who desires commercial use out of an authoring program such as this.

I have been told that it appears that it's completely legal to sell the end-creation but if someone requests the sourcecode, that I would be obligated to provide it. Which I suppose makes half-sense, since I wouldn't really be creating any kind of super advanced trade secret engines or anything...but intellectual property laws are confusing and often vague.

    Thanks for the help <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />
