  • The preview for my game won't load, and I am unsure of how to fix it. I must be because of the ScrollTo behaviour that I added to the player, here's my screen with the Google error console

Anyone know why it's doing this? There is not conflicting ScrollTo behaviours, it is purely that it cannot load the ScrollTo behaviour.

Thank you in advance for any help :)

  • I am trying to make a highscore based game that saves the player's highscore when they close it, so that they can go back to the game and still have their highscore there.

I've set everything up using Local Storage and Global Variables, but for some reason it won't save. Here are some screenshots of the different pieces of code:

Can anyone spot why it isn't working?

  • Sorry for the late reply (Time zones...). I don't know why, but it suddenly is working now. Thanks for trying to help!

  • I have an 'On start of layout event' and in it is something to make the player move to a position using the moveto behavior. The player that is moving is outside of the viewport, but still inside the layout. It does work, but for some reason the moveto doesn't happen until at least 30 or so seconds after the layout starts. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? There shouldn't be anything overriding it.

  • Nevermind, I'm dumb, I managed to make it work. Thank you so much for your help :)

  • Sorry if I seem stupid, but I don't entirely understand. I've tried implementing a few of the things you did into the events I have, but the enemy still acts as if it is adding to the vector X when I am to the right of it.

  • I'm trying to knock back an enemy when it is hit by the player. I've been doing this by giving the enemy the platform behavior, and setting the vector X to Self.X+/-50. these are in two different events. If the enemy X is greater than the player X, it is +50, if it is less then the player X, it is -50. But for some reason even when the enemy X is lower than the player X, the enemy will still go to the right.

Why is this happening, and how can I fix it so that the enemy goes away from the player?

  • I didn't know about this feature, thank you. I'll give it a try, although I guess there isn't a way for me to get my progress back. Oh well, thank you for the help!

  • I have a bad habit of not saving until I'm going to go do something else, and while I was making my game, google crashed and I lost all of the code, assets and levels that I had made. Is there a way to get these files back? I presume there isn't, but it's worth a try to ask.

  • I am trying to make a game that involves shadows as a visual effect, and am doing this by placing a ShadowLight at the top of the screen, and giving all shadow casting objects the ShadowCaster behaviour. It looks great, but some areas are too dark because shadows are piling ontop of each other. How can I make it so that the shadows can't go through solids?
