E2GameStudios's Forum Posts

  • Hello everyone. This is my 1st post here so please be gentle. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I have looked through and searched many forum posts to an answer to my issue to no avail so I'm finally conceding and will ask you guys for help.

Please either point me in the direction of an answer suitable for a noob or address the following directly:

I have a sprite animation with 30 frames in it...that sprite animation is set to the full size of the layout and I am trying to get the on-touch event to change the frame in the animation to the next one in the sequence.

So far all I have managed is for it to change to frame 2...then it takes off and runs through the entire sequence.

I am a ripe amateur with the event sheet so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • I think this might do what I need it to for a "tap to continue" scenario in a tutorial...but I cant figure out how to set up the even sheet.

Can you articulate what the 1st few steps would be and I can finish the process by repeating it till the end of the layout?

    Thanks!

  • Here is a quick screenshot of my attempts to create a tutorial for our game FireFly Village.

If I could only figure out how to get the on-click to go to the next frame in the animation!

I am cuurently looking through the forum where someone has tried the same thing but if I cant find an answer expect a separate thread for help.

    More to come...

  • Hello World!

I am the owner (and lead Art Guy) of a new game studio called Elemental Entertainment LLC. *We're on Facebook and twitter as E2 Game Studios because "Elemental Entertainment LLC" was too long.

As the Art Guy my realm is generally the worlds of Autodesk (3ds Max) and Adobe (photoshop)but I am finding it much more useful to be able to go into the Game Engine and apply my art (then test) to see what changes need to be made to the source images or assets then to wait for the programmers to put out a build just to see if the layers need some kind of adjustment or if a sprite should be made with a larger alpha background. The point is I am pretty good with the Art programs but c2 still confuses me and as a c2-noob with very little programming knowledge these event sheets are kicking me hard so I thought I would set up a profile here and learn what I can from the community.

Those kind souls who respond to my posts in a substantive way and help me get these games from the game design documents into a playable format will get their usernames into the "C2 Community Special Thanks" section of the credits of these games.

    See you in the Forums

    Respectfully,

    Elemental Entertainment LLC
