  • They should make it so that they work together....

  • I want to fix the Vibrating?(Clarifying)

  • I have a player with the Platform Behavior and physics Behavior, so that is reacts to touching physics...

The ground is physics Behavior(immovable set to true)

My question is my player is vibrating on the ground??? any Ideas? :/

  • I Figured out, a pretty good way to achieve this. Should I put it up?

  • The Pin behavior is horrible... Is there away for the settings to be adjusted so that what is attached still has collisions within the level. Like when I have an object then pin it to the one I want, The one getting pinned goes through the floor now... How can i get around this???

  • And is there away with Pin for physics to stop rotating.... Its really annoying... Prevent Rotation is not a option for in game....

  • Thanks Nimtrix that fixed it. That is a great take on it, the water looks great!

    Thanks Nimtrix.

  • I wish I could see it, But my construct says I need version 83 when Construct 2 says that I am on the Latest version. I downloaded another version (Same Version) and it still will not open... Sorry Nimtrix.

  • I am fairly new to construct 2, and the community, But I have some feedback.

Construct 2: The pricing of the products are fairly reasonable, for the help and quality of the product sold. In my new Construct 2 building days my only concerns would have to be not having the option to code in "The language of Construct 2" as in if you hit a point of your game where a plugin or time to create a plugin is a concern you should be able to apply coding to over come the problem. Just for more freedom. Over all Construct 2 is a go-to tool for game creation, and website gaming development. Including the amazing touch Plugin. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

It could make you a bit sloppy though if you play in it for a while, language wise. Don't get lost in its "easy-ness".

The developers of Construct 2 should be really happy about your creation. It has attracted a great community of gamers, designers and cant forget programmers. Also a great product.

  • <center> Well I guess it is about time<img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /></center>

    My Real name is: Dylan

I am a long time programmer, I got involved in 2007 with the old vb-basic(Now VB.NET) YouTubing a lot of tutorials on vb.net. Since then I have taken a collage course in c++ and tot myself to fluently code in PHP. PHP is by far my favorite language to code in. I am in Grade 10 and currently code for my schools IT department.

The reason for my Construct 2 craving I guess is well I had a summer camp in GameMaker. With that being said GameMaker 7 was a fairly poor engine to code in. After disappearing for a couple years, I did a Google search on GameMaker and found that they released GameMaker:HTML. After trying it I got fed up with the UN-useful physics engine, bring me to Construct 2. Yay Construct 2, Made the physics code WAY easier. Literally "A quick drag"

Also In spare time, I do ethical hacking. Legally... Just exploiting the programs/websites and giving the Programmers on "their" side a heads up. I code also in c++, little Java, Heavey -> vb.net and major PHP-Databases, asp, ruby, Little python, Tiny bit of object C and C#

I think my done my rant... ahaha thanks for reading. Great community here at Construct 2.

  • That is a way I guess. It does kind take away from the physics though... As I do not want them to "Pin" I still want them movable, but attached together. Any other ideas anyone?

Also I'll keep working on it, and post back here once I figure out a good solution, for anyone else.

  • Yes i know i have a lot of questions, but I am still pretty new to Construct 2 -> a lot different from Game Maker as when you run into a problem you code it... But construct 2 is better a lot.. ANYWAYS.

Constraints? I have a person with a mouse, that double clicks here and somewhere else in the window. I want it to Constraint(Attach together) what they clicked, what is the better way to do this?

I have a double click event and a global variable for if a block is selected and a hover object event. It goes to 1 so when you select the next object it will link them via the "create revolute joint" but its glitchy and does not always work... Any ideas?

  • Thank you for the example rgros. That seems as good as it gets. so at lease its semi possible. :)

    Thanks again sqiddster amd rgros

  • I thought about this to, i can all ready tell even the physics(A box) weighs a lot of the browser+ram+Process... Maybe something will come.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Is there any water Properties for physics or any water Physics? ? ? is there any way?

I was thinking of creating a lot of a small physics objects and connect them... but that is well, as it sounds time consuming and with out a "Great visual effect..."
