  • There is Tutorial and Level 1, should of gave you a feel of it but anyway thanks for the comment. Thanks for tutorial, It would be great to have a map maker, might consider it but it's not that big of hassle to use construct system. I might make it, to see if things become easier.

I guess my sound system is low, I guess I will notch down the levels of sounds.

I'm curious about the RTS example and might consider making an RTS myself but my main focus was a tank game with strategic aspects behind it. I think my game would be compatible with tablet devices, so I might keep my genre. But thanks for advice.

  • Hi

Starting working on this game. I need feedback on gameplay in general.

I do not want feedback on sound or graphics, mainly on gameplay, feel of it, weapons, balance in general. It would be appreciated before i create more levels and uploaded it arcade.

Here is the 2 levels. No ending after Level 1 completed.

    Probably plenty of bugs.

  • Yeah that's definitely not how a tank should handle.

Ill be releasing tank game soon to arcade, be sure to check that out to give you a feel of it.(Global Tanks 2D)

But yeah your movement should be smooth and it's a tank probably should be slower, but fix the movement first. Not sure how to fix it but I know that I used Car behaviours rather than 8 movement.

  • The controls feels nice but they are not tank controls though imo. They are much more arcade feel space vehicle controls. They are good but can't call it a tank.

I'm in a very early stages of making a tank game and mines more realistic I guess but does not feel like that.(Global Tanks 2D, look out for the topic re-appearing in few days and on arcade soon)

Other wise it could be a fun arcade shooter but can't call it a tank though.

  • Well I haven't got any experience in programming but for me it sounds all fine.

The else should work as just being inverted action.

    Example

    If both variable 1 = 0

    and x < 320

    then

set text "lol" and opacity 33

    else

set text "hi" and opacity 100

I think both conditions should be met for else to work.

This is kinda no use.. as it's above so basically I think both conditions should be met before else works.

This is not hard at all and I think it would great feature in construct 2

  • Not really sure if this was posted already, so sorry if it was.

I have seen this before it only seems to happen sometimes and in some categories, not sure if it was only bug category I seen it before but It seems anyway posts I guess in that thread there name goes red on the index page while if you actually check they are still just members.

Using chrome, it's a small bug but just thought I'll mention.

  • Enjoy the monkeys and remote control helicopters xD well done

  • Hi

Thank you for the comment, I'm not a spriter so that was my disadvantage but I'll be happy to look at your various poses.

  • Thank you, that is why I have mentioned that I will be continuing the game whatever happens, just that is how much I got to for this competition. With this world rotating feature I will be capable of having different world and even add lights to it.

  • Thank you for great feedback. The key idea about this game is to survive as long as possible., it's called Buildvival, build-survival. Every night the number of green monsters increases. So then I guess I made the spawn for monsters too long and people don't bother playing longer, so I might decrease the time. You collect resources to buy and upgrade weapons, also provided a tool called Builder where you can build your own hut out of it to protect yourself against meteors. Anyway hopefully the judges can see potential in that xD

  • Anyone want to comment to tell me what's bad with it or people don't know how to play it or just don't want to comment?

  • Recommended To read the Control Page*

I would like to present Buildvival 2.0. It's a rotating world platformer game where you collect resources to build your weapons and blocks to survive the night. Day and Night lasts 240 seconds, which means 2 mins of day time and 2 mins of night time. The game is over 350 events so it was quite a lot of work and testing, so many chances there will be quite a bit of bugs and that's where I need you guys and your feedback. I can't do graphics so there my best attempt.

Works best in Google Chrome, although the sound in Chrome 17 doesn't work properly, it works in FireFox and IE9 but it varies on performances.

I have a blog for it, whatever happens after this competition if it wins or doesn't I will carry on with this game improving it and adding much more to it. Click on the image above to go to the blog, I'll try update that over the weekend.

This will obviously be on arcade as well. There is quite a lot of explaining to do to tell about the game, you will have to play to find out what each thing does, so mainly gather, build and survive on rotating circular world.

  • Worked well for me too, 64 Bit windows 7 at 60 fps all time.
