  • Hello.

I am considering buying Construct 2, so first of all I wanted to investigate some things.

How does the publishing go? Say, I want to publish it to Android Market (now Play) or Facebook, do I have to pay anything else to publish it?

What are the other costs for publishing games?

You get your Construct 2 via e-mail?

    Thanks

  • Yeah, that would be good too. Thank you

  • The only solution I found so far is to add brightness to that object, and increase it, if the brightness at layout is decreased.

  • When I switch to another layout, which has effect Brightness, it affects all objects on it. But I don't want it to affect one particular object. I want that object to look as it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

  • Hello.

I added a boolean variable to a sprite.

I tried to set its initial value to 'true', but when I click OK, it sets it to '<varies>'.

I also tried to set it to '1', but it sets it back to 'false'.

    Is it a bug?

  • Thank you all guys! Great forum crew. Problem solved.

  • Those are some very good advices and I will apply them to my project.

But I obviously didn't explain my problem well.

The thing is, when the Menu shows up, user can pick to play with max. of 5 or 10 carrots. If he pick 5 carrots, then variable maxCarrots should be set to 5 and etc, but it isn't set.

Thank you for your effort. It means a lot to the beginner.

  • space Ape: Yes, I'm pretty sure. Constant is unchecked. I double-checked my event sheet for any other actions that use it, but couldn't find any. Here's my project:

grafix4d: I don't have the text box for that. Thanks

  • Hello.

I am using this: floor(random(1,maxCarrots)) to get a number.

    maxCarrots is global variable.

The thing is, I want to change its value by clicking on an object.

But it doesn't happend, and it stays on its initial value.

    How do I set it?

  • Your player "Walking" animation's frames have no imagepoint(1).

Add this imagepoint in each frame and the game works as intended.

Prefer sending capx rather than compressed folder (a capx is basically already a zip file of the folder) and prefer to post your project (are at least a reproduction of the issue) in public rather than sending in PM, more people can give more help quicker.

    Oh, thank you very much.

I wanted to post my link here, but apparently I do not have enough reputation points.

    Sorry about that.

  • Imagepoint is something you set in the

Then you use the common expression object.ImagePointX(index) or object.ImagePointY(index) depending on the position you're looking for.

Before pinning the object, you set its position to the imagepointX/imagepointY location first.

I did it. But my problem is that when I pin an object to another, it sets it to origin and not to image point.

I've sent you a link of my dropbox with my project, if you wouldn't mind looking at it.

  • Add the "pin" behavior to your prop object,

then create an image point on your sprite where you want the object to be pined to eg: his hands

then use the action "pin to" on the prop in your event sheet to attach it to the arm image point

It works, but I can't find image point in the "pin to object" action.

There are modes like "Position & angle", etc.

    Any ideas?

  • Hello!

I was wondering how to pin an object to another one and make it follow it.

The idea is to spawn it in players arms, and make it look like the player is carrying it. So the object moves with the player.

    Thanks.
