  • I'll try and explain it real fast

    Basically I'm trying to make it have animations for it jumping, It works (somewhat) on WASD, but it doesnt't work on the arrow keys. (it only goes left with no animations.) Also on WASD when it turns right it teleports back and forth, so I think there might be an issue with the sprite? It's currently haulting progress on my first platformer game, so I need help fixing it lol.

    So I made my own sprite, into a sprite sheet on piskelapp.com

    Also not a big deal, but if there is a way to remove arrow keys from being able to control the character that would be nice but it doesn't have anything to do with the problem I think, I just don't want 2 sets of controls.

    How do I make saves and loads? I've been on a tutorial where you create a main menu, and I DID add a load button, however that's as far as I got.

    I'm using it for more of a platform game, sort of to test the feature, I'm new so I want to get the jist of it early so I can use it more later!

    I would also like to use a checkpoint system, not sure if it's used in the same way... Preferably after each level is completed.

    Just assume I never added a button when explaining if you want, since I'll probably start from scratch soon!

  • I've always dreamed of being a game designer, but I don't know a lick of coding. I hope to learn SOMEHOW, but in the mean-time construct seems like an easy way to make great games.

  • I would look in FAQ but I don't know what the name of the dotted line bar is.

    I'm new and all that so construct is all greek to me, however I think I am getting the hang of it! I haven't been able to find tutorials on how to increase the view of the player however.
