  • Nice job PR, Slasher Boy was definitely the best looking game out of the bunch

When did TDC start allowing Construct games into competitions? Last I heard it was okay to submit them to the site but they were still only allowing Klik-made stuff for compos.

  • That thing is pretty sweet .

  • Goes blurry for me too.

heh, i mispelled it as "burry"

  • That should be easy enough to do, if you give the red ball a "stuckAngle" variable. When it sticks, set stuckAngle to it current angle, and after that Always -> Set angle to stuckAngle + blueBallSprite.angle

  • Ah, I see. I suppose that might be a handy feature to have. Just keep in mind though that you can do this with Construct currently, you just need a few events and some math.

Also, moving this topic to Feature Requests.

  • ...?

Construct can support any screen resolution settings that your monitor can handle, so... yeah, it supports all aspect ratios currently.

Unless you mean something else, because I'm not sure why someone would think it doesn't.

  • Windows 7 is faster and more stable than Windows XP .. That could be a reason to switch.

    Yes, I suppose that's true

  • the drag-a-window against the side of the screen side by side view is so useful it's ridiculous

This is the only feature I've seen in demo videos that looks like I might actually use, but even so I would probably only need it occasionally. What other features are actually useful?

How is Pin really any different from QuickLaunch? And I don't really care about preview windows in my taskbar, I know what I'm running and where my files are. Likewise I don't care terribly about synching my media with other devices.

Then again I did hold onto Win98 for a loooong time after XP came out because I didn't really see much reason to switch. And honestly - aside from software compatibility - I still don't. Other than it looks nicer.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Lastly a question -- How is the in-built platform movement working with regards to Time Delta and V-synch? Is it bulletproof to FPS drops?

All of the built-in movements in Construct use timedelta, and no it's not bulletproof to FPS drops:

But the good news is that if you're careful about how you design things and you don't go crazy with shaders then FPS drop shouldn't be too much of a problem. Here's a page on optimization that should help you out a bit:

  • Really nice work

  • Did you mean wrapping? Anyway, nice example.

i couldn't get passed the first level

I hear spam a good way to get started, too

    Please don't feed the spammers

  • Very nice

I like how you can scrub off the layer of grunge that's already on the desk. Nice touch

  • That is pretty impressive
