  • Hi heisendev.

Oh well. I guess we hang ten for now. It is after all still in beta so I'm sure it will get fixed eventually. I do have to say that my game, with ads off, does run silky smooth where before I had slight performance issues so that's a good thing.

  • I also received the SSL warning on my XDK Exported game and followed the suggested fixed and used "beta"in XDK. This seemed to have work and for now the error is gone. I have realized though that the Admob banner ad in my game causes so much slowdown that the game is now unplayable. If I disable my internet connection so the ads do not show the game runs smooth. Anyone experienced this issue?

  • If its possible - Native IOS and Android exporters? That would make Construct the ultimate game design tool regardless of what version. I'd pay good money for exporters like that.

  • My warning on google is gone now. I upgraded xdk to ver 1621 and exported my game with that. All good

  • Perfect. Thanks Ashley

  • How did you get it resolved? I have it as well. Only using the official Admob plugin. I also see there is a later version of XDK. I'll redeploy my app tonight using that version. Last time I had an alert this fixed it.

  • Not sure if the player has been dropped. If so then that's ok, I'll just test with Chrome going forward. I liked the player as it is a full screen test on my tab, but I'd much rather have the latest version of C2 running.

  • Hi Ashley, yes building with XDK works fine. I was on an older version of the crosswalk player 5.something. I upgraded the player to 8.37.189.14, but results were the same. When previewing a game in crosswalk player on both 5.x and the latest version I just got a black screen. I could still preview through Chrome though. I then downgraded back to R191 and the player worked again. I will give it another bash tonight. Seems its just me with the issue so could be something with my setup. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thank you

  • After 23 views and no replies I take it I'm the only one with this problem?

Could anyone confirm if their crosswalk player is working fine on r192?

  • Try Construct 3

That's ridiculous because the Tab 3 has what, 1.5gb of ram? I've tested it a whole range of devices.

Star Nomad only use ~150mb, hardly anything for all the art assets.

I know it will crash for two reasons from my own testing:

    1. Obviously not enough memory (often on 512/768mb devices with lots of apps running in background).

    2. Modified Android OS, such as Cyanogenmod.

Edit: is it the Tab 3 7 inch? 1024x600 pixels, 1GB ram. The Tab 3 8 Inch has 1280x800 pixel and 1.5GB of ram.

The game doesn't work for sub 720p devices. It was a design choice to aim for that minimum specs (since generally devices with less resolution that that tend to have very weak hardware and wont be able to handle such a complex game).

Runs great on my tab 3

  • No x86 install? Wanted to give it a go. Looks cool though.

  • Yup. I also have this with my game. I recon we need to wait for it to be fixed/updated in XDK.
