  • Hello, I've been using Construct 3 for quite awhile and have successfully uploaded several games to Google Play.

I uploaded my most recent to Google Play and my game was rejected for a Violation of Misleading Claims.

They said that instead of loading my game image that it loaded the Construct 3 icon instead.

I didn't do anything any different this time than in the past so I don't know why this happened.

I have the game set up to load Progress Bar Only and not the Construct 3 icon.

I also just LOVE the way Google has the wording like this is something I purposefully did to try to mislead people. They always think the worst in people.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

  • Yes, that is exactly it! I've used this before and I thought I was doing exactly what I had done before, but I wasn't. You are right - it is still there. I thought maybe something had changed and it was no longer an option. Thank you for your help!

  • Thanks for some reason I don't see it on mine. I add the turret behavior, but I am no longer given the option to "add object to turret" like I used to.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hello, in the past I was able to use the turret behavior and assigned objects to turrets by using "Add Object to Target." Has this been removed. I can't seem to find it anywhere now - not in construct 2 or 3.

  • I ended up creating a new keystore because I apparently had the alias wrong. I was finally able to get a signed build. Since this was the first time I'd ever uploaded to Google Play Store it didn't matter that I needed a new keystore. Hopefully I'll have it right for the next time.

  • It must an error with the signing because it does let me export it as an android app if it is unsigned.

I had a lot of difficulty even creating the keystore file and maybe that is it? I tried several different names and passwords before I found one that worked and maybe I am using the wrong name and password. I really have no idea what is wrong.

  • I have been using both Construct 2 and Construct 3 for quite awhile and I finally decided to publish to Google Play Store.

I created a game and everytime I go to export it to android it says Build Failed Error, but doesn't tell me what the error is.

I don't know if it is something that I'm doing wrong or what. I've now tried exporting it about 16 times and every time I get the same error.

    Please help.

  • No, I haven't seen any money from this. Also, they accepted 3 of my games with no problem. I have tried submitting 3 more games that were actually of better quality than the 1st 3 since I'm getting better at making them, and they rejected them all. So I've just put the games on my own websites. When I log into the game distribution statistics it appears that no one has played my games at all, but I know this isn't true because I've played the games myself. Also, I can see on my own arcades that people are playing these games and I'm using the gamedistribution game code, so who knows. Maybe someone else will have better luck with them than I did.

  • Gamedistribution is exactly what the name suggests. It is a site that distributes flash games and html5 games. So far I've created 2 games that are on the site. It is sort of what Mochimedia used to be back in the day when flash games were really big.

The gamedistribution support staff is very responsive and usually gets back to you within one day.

You can monetize your games with them. I think that developers get 33% of the ad revenue, with publishers getting 33%, and gamedistribution getting the other 33%. However, it seems I haven't made any money so far. Still this is a great place to get your games distributed as far as I can tell.

I'm fairly new to all this so it is too early to tell if I'll end up with any money from it or not.

  • Actually I got it working by not minifying the script on export.

  • I know this is an old post, but I have been trying to a week and a half to get the gamedistribution api working so I can get my game on Gamedistribution, but I can't get the API working. I see it working fine on my end, but once I upload the game to Gamedistribution the API no longer works. Does anyone know how to do this?

    I've used the instructions here:

    https://github.com/GameDistribution/GD-Construct2/wiki

but once I upload my game to their site, the API is not working. It has taken me longer to try to get the API working than it takes to create an entire game.

Does anyone know to to get this working? I have contacted their support many times, but they said they are not Construct 2 developers and so they don't know what to tell me.
