  • I need help understanding how to do melee attacks without main character also taking damage from collision , all my stuff has been projectile attacks but i need to grasp how to do melee collision etc punching , swords

  • Its tedious but my method would be make sure they are not listed under the same sprite , individual sprites to get each 1 moving accordingly

  • Well thats background design has nothing to do with mechanics and it showed you how in the video you sent so im not sure the issue hah

  • I only been using construct 2 for 2 months and exactly what guy above me said easy with the art fighting games are fairly simply its mostly animations that are a chunkof it , slap on some scroll to behaviors set up the health bars good to go hah not sure if your 1st project though or just an idea , but most the time would be towards fighting animation consistency

  • I dunno if i am reading this correctly but i would put a invisible sprite underneath every grid square with no behaviors rename every single 1 according to location A1 A2 etc '' then just think of it as '' if player roles _____ scenarios '' problem solving but i also dunno exactly what you are going for
