  • Hello,

Is there a way to manipulate the array object to function like RandomArray developed by joe7?

    Dave

  • Hey tnewhook,

You might wanna check out a third party plugin developed by joe7 called random array, I think it will do what you need it to do. I use it on several of my games and it works great. Here's a link:

    scirra.com/forum/plugin-randomarray_topic45277.html

    cheers

  • Thanks Rexrainbow. Weird thing also is that if I right click the are where the video should be, and select view in tab, it plays the video just fine.

  • Hi Joe7,

Do you know of any issues with RandomArray and the browser object. I use your plugin in two of my games, and when I add the browser object, the game does function properly. Have you heard of any issues?

    Thanks,

    Dave

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey Rexrainbow,

Do you know of any issues with firefox 11? My game seems to play the sound but not the video. Strange thing is that if I go to another browser tab and then go back, it will flash the video for a split second.

    Any advice?

  • I have a project, and besides the rainbow effect, when I ad the browser object, the whole game goes whacky. If I remove it it works fine. Here's the project if anyone wants to look at it. Rght now the browser is not in, run it and see how it works, then add the browser and see how it goes whacky. Does anyone know why it's doing this? Here's the file:

You don't even have to add the browser object to any events for this to happen, just add it to the project. Also, the audio object prevent preview. This problem happens in safari as well as firefox, and chrome won't even open.

  • Hey Ashley,

I took out the two third party plugins, and I still get it. So weird. Oh well, I guess I just wont use firefox. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong within the program but it is happening to all my games. Thanks for all your help, construct support is always prompt and efficient, keep up the good work!!!

  • intel(r) core(tm) i3-2310 2.10 ghz 2 gig ram 32 bit windows 7 all it says for graphic card is Intel(R) HD Graphics Family driver version 8.15.10.2559

Do you think it might have something to do with the third party plugins? I have random array, and rex video installed. The weird thing is it does the same thing at the computers in school, so I was thinking it might have something to do with the way I'm adding events, did anything look strange to you with my event and the way they are implemented?

  • Hi Ashley,

I checked and all the computers have the latest drivers, and am still getting the same problem. What I did notice is that it only seems to happen on firefox. I'm running firefox 11 is this supported?

  • Here's a link to download the file. This is happening on all my games so I'm guessing it is something I'm doing or not doing.

  • I have an Intel(R) HD Graphics Family but it happens on every computer I have tried.

  • Hello,

My game will run fine, and then after a few moments all me sprites get this weird rainbow effect. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? I am using the latest version of construct r84 and windows 7 32 bit. Here's a screen shot of whats happening.

    <img src="http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab120/daveryaaziem/Capture.png" border="0" />

Also, there are a few things I noticed that makes thing go bonkers. If I have a sprite z order set to bottom or if I have an audio objet in my project, the game doesn't run properly

  • I'm on Firefox 9.0.1. I'll try updating my graphics driver and see if the problem persist. I failed to mention that the same thing happens on chrome

  • If I add the browser object to my project, my sprites move out of position and the frame animation does do as it should. Once I remove the object everything works fine again. This happens if I add the audio obect as well. Is this happening to anyone else? The wierd thing is if I add the browser object to projects I created in rc73, it works fine. But the project created in rc74 goes bonkers with the browser object. This is happening in FF on vista 32bit

  • I am looking to have a text object randomly position to one of for set positions in the layout at startup. Is this possible?

    Thanks in advance
