  • Hi there...I was wondering if I had a project that i started on a desktop in the 64 bit version and then wanted to work on the same project on a laptop when travel in 32 bit version of construct, would that be doable or would there be issues?

    thanks

  • Thanks for taking the time to do that 99....much appreciated!

When I tried to download it , there was a message saying my release was too old to open it, so I updated it and opened it and everything works fine i your capX file. I currently have both capX files up side by side and analyzing the hell out of them to note the differences.

    Thanks again

  • I made sure all origin points were set to the bottom...they must have not been before because it changed after I did that. Now the jumping is fine but when he lands from the jump he has seizures and shakes in place

I took video of the collision/origin points for the animations and what it looks like when I run the layout

Its hard to see him bugging cause of the low framerate speed of the video but you can see it at the 1 minute 15 second mark...hes doing that super fast...and only after landing form a jump

  • Thanks for your response 99. Should the collision boxes be as close to the edge of the sprite as possible? like this? That is currently how I have all of them, basically right around the character in a square

I have all the origin points set to the bottom

  • Hello,

I'm having an issue where the player sprite is hitting an invisible ceiling when he jumps. It's like there is an invisible object an inch over his head. Only happens when I jump from a still position and doesn't happen while running and jumping. The problem goes away when I remove "ID_JUMP" from the animations list. (but then I have no jump animation but invisible ceiling gone)

This happened while using this tutorial video on youtube:

  • Hello there

Fairly new to construct 2. I've gone through a few of the beginners tutorials so far but definitely still in the noob zone. I'm trying to make something where the tiles/platforms change colors when the player sprite lands on one or moves across it. Think Q-bert or miner 2049er

    Video for reference:

So far my plan is to make the tiles/platforms the same width of the player sprite so as he/she runs across, the colors change to another without changing an area larger than the player (similar to the video I posted). I'm not sure what commands there are to make this happen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I tried searching for a Q-bert style game made in construct 2 but wasn't able to find any.

    Thanks for reading

  • hey there Scirra admin

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but the sub heading says "Chat about anything not covered in these forums" so I figured this one might work. When purchasing a personal license for construct 2 yesterday I never received any email. Then when i went back to view cookies, I realized I accidentally spelled the email address wrong. When I realized this I even created an email account with that wrong email address since it didn't previously exist but since it was probably sent out before it even existed, that was probably pointless for me to try. So if there is any admin on here reading, please help! I've sent emails to support but I'm guessing because it's a weekend they are not responding so I was trying my luck here.

    Thanks
