  • whats the best way to create a revolute joint between the object and the background? is it to make the tiled background have phsycis behavior and attach to that or to create a new invisible and immovable object that you can create a joint to?

    when creating new objects with cloning you have a new "object" and when creating one with a control drag you create a new instance of an existing object?

  • hey folks...

    thanks in advance....ive got an object that I would like to act like it was attached to the background but could rotate about the point it was attached. ive go that figured out with a revolute joint to the background object....

    next I would like to be able to use the mouse or touch to control the rotation of the object...think of a plank nailed to the background in its center with one nail and i want to be able to click one end of the plank to drag and adjust its angle...

    any ideas?

    im not sure I understand...lets say I have a chain with 20 links..im not sure how putting the link object in a family allows me not to have them all as separate objects.

  • when creating a "chain" made up of links joined together, it appears that each link needs to be a separate object correct? if I just control/drag to make copies, it doesn't make a seperate object, so when creating the revolute joint and i selct the object to join to, it seems to just pick the first one i put in the layout without being able to pick any of the others...

    am i correct in the fact that a chain needs each link to be a separate object?

  • hi folks....im trying to get a handle on the step by step process for publishing to the app store with construct 2. I know a 3rd party html5 "converter" is needed such as phone gap or cocoonjs but don't understand how these work. Im not a programmer (hence going with construct 2)....

    any good links or tutorials for publishing to the app store?

    just bought a personal lic for construct 2 the other day! Really excited about it. I was debating between construct 2 and gamesalad for a while and have found construct2 more intuitive to how I think. The one thing I am a bit more concerned about is publishing to IOS with construct. Ive read some posts about phonegap and its performance issues and cocoonjs and direct canvas...but not really sure how those all work and how much they cost to use....anyone?

    Anyway, im sure ill be around quite a bit in the coming weeks...can't wait to meet some of the cool people here!
