    I read the tilemap plugin scripting api but i'm failing at accessing tile state in a tile map.

    Anyone have script example of how to get tile state of a specific tile ?

  • After investigations we can't. Same blocker using physics and box2d, I don't understand why box2d implementation is unfinished. I resolve my problem with a workaround using 2 sprites with 2 polygons for the same player. Not perfect but it works.

    Edit: finally, i use line of sight and raycasting

    I tried many things, like systemCompareValue with angle(players.X,player.Y,Tilemap.x,Tilemap.y) but it's doesn't work. I dont know how to pick the colliding tile in the tilemap.

    Any ideas ?

  • You should take a look at Ink or twine software to write your story and generate json file. Next, you can read it easily in construct to make your game.

  • I don't know why do you need to do that. If you just want to make levels you should use traditional pipeline with tile editor. Tilemap is an optimisation functionality. If your tiles are unique you should use sprite instead.

  • I can almost do my project entirely with my phone but some other basics functions missing, like copy/paste in array editor etc. I hope it will come :p. It's fantastic to be able to make game with a simple smartphone.

  • hi, i'm wondering if i can use tileMap and it's "Load image from URL" in place of a sprite for my player character. This way i could keep my spritesheet animation Character separated. Does any one have ever used TileMap this way ?
