  • Looks like you either need to include Event Sheet 1 in your Level Select event sheet or move the 'go to level 1' event into your level select menu event sheet

there is only one event sheet?

  • Yes, event sheet, sorry.

Can you share your project? I will try it here

sorry for the late response, here is the project file:

  • Are you using separated spritesheets for each layout?

If yes, you need to include the spritesheet that have the condition/action On Button to the "Level Select Menu"

    do you mean event sheets?

this is everything in my current singular event sheet:

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Here is how i have it set up.

On button "Start" Pressed - Switch to layout "Level Select Menu"

On button "Level 1" Pressed - switch to layout "level 1"

the first part works fine. the seccond part? just doesnt work. Like on the start menu if you click the start button it takes you straight to the level select menu without a fuss. if you try to click on the only button in the level select menu, the level 1 button, it just doesnt. I dont know why. the layout named "level 1" exists, i never deleted anything, i selected it from a drop down in the event sheet, like im pretty sure the event sheet applies to multiple layouts, right? im loosing my mind over this. its been like an hour and i just dont know whats happening.

  • So im working on a tower defense game and I want it to open with a "press any key" screen, so the player can just press any button on their keyboard to continue. My initial thought was to setup as follows:

But the problem with that is, well, I plan to use the keyboard as a control input, and with this setup is whenever you try to use the keyboard it will just take you back to the menu. Is there a fix? Something like "If any key pressed and on MenuLayout, go to 'LevelSelect'". Sorry if there is already a really simple fix, I just started using construct a few days ago and am still learning the ropes.

  • here is what im trying to do.

select a scene from a drop down menu, and when i click a button, the scene i selected will be opened. I want a map drop down menu for a tower defense game, followed by a tower selection menu to keep the actions low. please help, or if you know a better way of keeping actions low please share.
