  • Oh, I had a suggestion... If I only have one piece on the board, it's not really necessary for me to choose him/her. Know what I mean? Just move the piece automagically for me. :-)

  • Crashed for me at this point in the game. :-/

My opponent had just rolled and finished his move, landing on a monster, but it got stuck there. And I was going to win, I just know it!

  • You could make it a top-down view, instead of a side view. That way, your globs could wander the map.

  • How did you do the background? Very cool effect.

  • Ashley, I don't know anyone who considers a Roadmap a promise. No doubt, some do. :-D

    oh well!

  • Dude, you do great work! Wow. Hope to use you in the future.

  • Ashley, obviously your perception of a requested feature's feasibility is going to be a primary factor in it making it to your Roadmap. But your Roadmap is for professional developers, not the hobbyists who want 3D and networking NAAOOOO! Your pros know 3D and networking is difficult (and maybe even out-of-bounds for C2), and understand it might not even be in the top ten. But there are reasonable requests that should be placed in order of importance and scheduled appropriately.

I do understand your reasoning. I just think you should accommodate your reasonable pro users, not the starry-eyed hobbyists. :-)

  • If you want to please your customers, you have a list and allow your customers to determine what comes next. I know plenty of companies who post their Roadmap, and it helps developers plan for change/enhancements (as well as instill confidence that the product will remain relevant for the future).

  • Ahhh! I didn't know they were compiling to native. Thanks, Arima, for the info.

  • How did they get such superior physics performance on the used platform (it was an Android tablet, IIRC)? It would seem you guys could do the same thing, unless they're compiling to native code.

  • Thanks for the feedback!

So, basically, this test is relevant only if targeting mobile platforms with physics, in which case, C2 is probably not your go-to development platform anyway...?

  • I would have liked to have seen another option under "What it is the most important factor in your decision to download a game?" That is, "Game Mechanic." Maybe that's covered under "genre," but I wasn't sure.

For example, I'll probably never download a platformer to my phone. I'll never download a Pacman-like or Space Invaders-like, nor probably an asteroids-like. So, game mechanic is important in my selection.

I also generally prefer to download a free version to sample before buying a full copy. If a game is buy-only with no preview/pre-test, I generally try to find something else.

The last game I downloaded was "Bad Piggies," which is such a great game idea. I think the "design/build your own" to accomplish an objective is a great mechanic. :-)

  • What's the strategy you guys are using for stylized user input? I'm using a textbox with Web Fonts right now, but the font starts off way too small for the screen (because of "Auto font size"). I wish I could set the initial size and THEN enable "Auto font size." Hmmmm... maybe I can.

In the meantime, should I not use "Auto font size" and try resizing per tick? That seems so wasteful.

How are y'all doing this these days?!
