• I'm sorry to add myself to the ones who cannot run a browser preview on version r206.

I tried any browser I installed that are Chrome, Firefox and IE, but the answer is always "Server unavailable" or something similar.

Also trying both your troubleshooting and tip on this post have not solved the situation

Going back to Construct 2 r199 everything returned working fine. Me too I'm running C2 on a Xp SP3 machine.

Maybe something (development environment?) broken backward compatibility with Xp.

An advice for ArpibZZaszi and other ones: Firefox adds "www." and ".com" only after failing on "localhost:5000". The process is almost invisible, but it is a clue that Firefox was not able to resolve to provided address and it is trying to "autocomplete" it to make it working. It's a feature

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open an Event Sheet with some complex event list

    2. Maximize your window

    3. Enlarge your columns to make you confortable with the shown elements

    4. Resize the window to be narrow

    Observed result:

Your columns will be stretched to remain all visible, forgeting your previous width setup and forcing you (at the next maximize) to resize again ANY column. Simply annoying.

    Expected result:

I think this is a precise choice (not an issue, a feature!) but I hope you'll consider to make this behaviour optional and to chose to avoid auto resizing, mantaining the main pane scollable also in horizontal direction. Thank you in advance and many compliments for your work.

  • Thank you. I was just looking for a detailed changelog about last Construct2 releases.

  • Hi there,

I've just met the same problem. The feeling is exactly that "wait" step is not executed in a For loop.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi guys!

Am I wrong or someone here stated that this plugin is also compatible with FF?!?

    Please, can someone explain how?

    Thx

    I'll apply all your suggestions.

  • Hi there,

I've looked anywhare into the forum but found nothing about it. Maybe the question is too silly, anyway I'm really puzzled about this strange behaviour.

As you can see in the image, in step 17, I'm trying to assing the value of a variable of the sprite instance which triggered event to a variable of the just spawned new sprite (a different one).

The strange behaviour is that in the scope of event the variable seems set correctly, but when I try to check it in the subsequent event (18 and on) it is always 0: no assignment was done.

Please, someone there can help me to get what's wrong?

    Thx

  • I tried with Firefox 5.0.1 and I admit that the problem seem to be disapeared, also after various execution of the preview. Anyway I noticed that also in Firefox 3.6.3 the problems does not arise systematically.

Just a clarification: the message appears in message box and after accepting it (OK) the game runs normally.

Ashley i just sent an e-mail with my .capx attached. Thanks.

  • Hi all,

I'm playing with the beginners tutorial of COnstructor 2 and faced with this strange behaviour.

Firefox 3.6 say me "Assertion failure: Drawing incomplete image" when I start a preview.

Currently the project has "640, 480" as Window Size, the Layout and the Background layer have "1024, 768" as size to have a bit of scrolling.

I noticed that if I set all these sizes to the same values (i.e. "640, 480") this message does not appear.

Thanks in advance for any help.
