  • Dear awesome community,

I am a novice construct2 user and I am working on my very first game.

Its just a simple endless runner where everything is hidden and only the objects are light up by a single lantern on the sealing.

But I have noticed that lighting is not the easiest thing in construct 2.

    I couldn't find a tutorial anywhere :/

How can I make a lantern to light up the post ? the post should also have a shadow genereated

    Very Kind regards,

    Cedric

  • Kenthria why the bump ? did you found the solution ? ifso, what was it ?

  • glerikud thank you for letting me know of the tutorial, I couldn't find any when I searched for lighting or shadows :/

I'll check it out so I can understand every single thing there is about lighting of that plugin.

But how did the creator of this awesome example create his scene ? Ruskul

  • Ruskul is there a tutorial on the lighting of your game?

it looks so amazing. I cant even get the shadow lighting right.

How do you make such lighting and shadowing ?

  • dear creator of this amazing add-on,

    I have found a bug

I use a size tween for a simple square but it doesn't scale the actual sprite, the progress goes the full range 0 to 1 and viseversa.

It does scale down but it does not scale back up

is this an eligible bug or is there a solution to my problem ?

    Very kind regards,

    Cedric

  • Thanks BenGIJOE. What if the swipe is a curve move? and I want the object move to the arrow direction in the picture.

you can set a maximum offset for the x an y an so set max values for example:

Imagine a D pad, allow the finger to have a maximum miss swipe lets say that the player can follow. thus if the end point of the swipe is more then the allowed offset do either nothing or the other direction.
