C2 Help's Forum Posts

  • Oh yeah, Ashley, I see what he is asking now. However, you could just ask the user to type in their User ID for now...

  • Yes Ashley, I couldn't find anything wrong with it either, so I took an educational guess on the problem. Plus, it made the block move smoother.

  • ranma I assumed that he was referring to doing this strictly with c2 events, not SDK, or this post would be in the SDK section.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Ashley, no I did not. I mean't to do that because it works fine in r89. Also, I said that it might not be a bug. Please read my posts carefully.

  • Well, there is a full screen function in the browser object. Read the manual section on browsers. Also, you can simply go to project properties and set the property of "full screen" to scale mode. Hope this helps!

  • It's not bad, but you need to add touch controls. Also, there are a few bugs that need to be fixed. Just gameplay bugs that make the layout a little more friendly.

  • Yes Kyatric, I intend to use the forums to assist people with their problems and encourage use of Cosntruct 2.

  • You wrote the exact same event for two categories. The computer reads top-down. It sees, "make items visible" before it sees "make them invisible." This means that every time you press esc, Construct 2 can't read the bottom coding. Try adding an, "if items are visible" statement. It would help a lot if you could upload a .capx of the game.

  • Cool, I'll be sure to check this out from time to time! Great way to share and collaborate ideas.

  • Most likely your browser got gltiched up. It works fine for me. Try downloading Google Chrome Web Browser. This is probably the best browser out there right now. If you already have Chrome, then I'm not sure why this happened.

  • Scirra is working on fixing this bug. In the meantime, you'll just have to do without it.

  • Wow! Imagine creating this in Construct 2! That would be pretty hard, but not impossible...

  • I believe that the issue has been resolved now. No need for worry anymore! However, for safe measures, I always upload stuff to my server, instead of a free, widely used program like Dropbox where there are sometimes problems. Just a thing to think about when giving companies like Dropbox your valuable games, apps, and other information/belongings.

  • Unfortunately, Construct 2 alone does not have the power to store other computer's data, other than local storage. To create a high-score leaderboard, you have to download the playtomic plugin. See this forum post for more info. Don't worry, I've used the Playtomic plugin before and it is 100% safe.

  • This post should really be posted under the bugs section here. However, I'm sure this bug will be fixed in a later version. In the meantime, why not download the newest secure version here? This is probably a lot easier to work in rather than Construct 2 going crazy every time you try to do work! Also, next time could you upload your project so that I can pin point your problem? It might not be Construct 2 's fault.
