  • you can use groups and enable them when the player reaches the second level.

    https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/project-primitives/events/groups

May I know how to do this? Can please provide steps?

  • IANACE (I am not a Construct expert), but...

The clean way is probably to split your events onto multiple event sheets and use "event sheet includes" to use only the events you want.

    https://www.construct.net/en/make-games/manuals/construct-3/project-primitives/events/includes

Another way, if you really want to have only one layout sheet for simplicity or some other reason, would be to use some unique feature of your layout to make conditional events fire. You could check the name of the layout, for example.

But the point is on first level (layout), the character won't have any weapon but until second level the player able to pick up weapon and use it, or is there any way to include character having weapon start from level two (but the event sheet must same as level one)

  • May I know is it possible to add a new level (layout) with using the same event sheet but at the same time, I can change (or turn off) some event on the event sheet?

  • Guys, I have found a solution myself and it works! On event sheet: system> on start of layout> Pin to object> choose the character

Anyway, thanks for those who replied as well!

  • The steps outlined above, are if you want the health bar to float above or overlapping the player sprite(Depending on the image point of the sprite). If you simply want it on the top "GUI" layer, and stationary in one position. It should work, the way your first post mentioned.

I don't want the health bar to stick on top corner of the interface, I just want it to stick on top of a player when the player is moving to any place

Add Pin behavior to the Health bar sprite.

    Create the event:

On create: Health bar -> Pin to Object (Player)

    Done

I have actually tried this before but seems not working...

Is it on the event sheet: health bar > health bar is pin> health bar> pin to an object?

  • You can use Pin behavior

Can you please provide steps for me?

  • I have tried to add a new layer for the health bar and place on top of all layer, after that I have set the parallax to 0,0 but seems not working...Any solution for this one?

I updated my answer, since I actually now opened your file :)

    See above

Ah..It works!! Really appreciate this! But can you please explain to me the last part (in yellow color), why is it when the character is not moving then the animation is set to jump? This part I don't understand..
