• The time has come my dear fellas. Can't wait, this is awesome :)

I think what he is trying to say is, if the software was purchased, these problems would not be problems.

    the marked one

Have you tried using object locks to stop some objects from being selected? Not sure if this is available in the free version, but pretty sure it is.

thanks man, exactly what I meant :)

I don't speak english very well, so sometimes what I say may sound a little bit too harsh, even when I meant exactly the opposite

  • bnkdpst You shouldn't discourage input. Good suggestions can come from anyone. It would be very unfortunate and probably affect Scirra's bottom line if users of the free version felt they couldn't make suggestions on the forum without being told to go buy it.

I know man :), and I'm sorry you interpreted that way. Just like I said, I meant not to offend or discourage, though I think users should look for a work around before asking to Ashley "hey, do what I say, I need this!"... I've been doing some free volunteer work with graphic design, and some people just don't understand that they need to cooperate too, it's not really like I can solve all their problems (and believe me, most of then can be solved by themselves). Feedback is always a positive thing, but we shouldn't put the blame on the developers because one can't find a way to do or organize his/her work. And I'm not talking directly to the author of the post, just as an example, earlier today someone was saying here in the forums, "hey, C2 sound system is crap", but he or she didn't even try to understand how it works.

And I didn't mean you can't send requests/opinions/feedback if you're using the free version, I'm currently using it myself, though I'm aware of it's minor limitations such as layers amount, so I won't complain about it. These guys work as hard as they can, the least I can do is support their work, and buying a licence is some sort of support too. You can't blame the government (or any other entity) for not finding a job if all you do is sit on a chair and scratch your balls all day long

  • look man, I really don't mean to be rude or something, but seriously, you've got, for free, one of the best (if not THE BEST) user-friendly 2D engines on the market. Before start complaining and whining about what should or should not be implemented you really should buy a license. That would not only solve one of your problems, but also would give the developers of C2 the necessary support to keep on improving the engine.

And I'm pretty sure you can organize your sprites/objects in different folders, that should help you with your first problem. Organizing the viewport is also a great tip!

    :)

  • Thank you Ashley, hope you guys get enough resources soon, you definitively deserve it! Construct is an amazing solution for us!!

And thanks everyone else for the replies!

In the best scenario let's hope next gen consoles support HTML5, the WiiU tablet controller would give us a lot of game design/mechanics possibilities.

  • Oh, and I'm sorry for the double post... I posted it first in the "How do I..." folder and didn't know how to move it here (I thought the general folder was more appropriated for this kind of question)

    sorry again, my bad =)

  • Yeah, I know that Erndog2k :)

It's really a lot of hardworking to get a great and functional game.

Even with these minimal requirements we've got plenty of "not so great games" in both PSN and Live.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey guys, I'm intending to start developing with Construct 2, but my main doubt is about what platforms the engine will support in the future. Is there any probability that the Construct 2 engine will be able to export to Xbox Live, PSN or even Wiiware/upcoming Nintendo Network? I know it may sound as some really noob question, but I'd like to know if it has ever been considered by the Construct developers. Such support would, of course, be awesome, but is there any chance of happening?

    Regards,

    Bonko
