We recently entered our game 'PoP!' (https://www.scirra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=148&t=108478), into the Pocket Gamers 'Big Indie Pitch' 2015. In our application form there was a space for a game trailer, which we didn't have (at the time).
So I thought it might help if we made a trailer, but where to begin? Anyway, I got to thinking that I have a perfect tool available for creating animated scenes (C2). So I sat down, came up with some ideas, and voila... a trailer was born!
PoP trailer:
It still needs a bit of work, and some polish here and there! When we played the animation on the browser, it all worked very well and was quite smooth. But on the recorded version, there seems to be a bit of jerky movement (jank), despite recording on all the highest settings, framerate etc!? Not sure if I did something wrong or how to fix this, but I'll keep looking to see if I can find an answer!
You might be interested to know that we received confirmation this week, and PoP has been entered into the BIP! Now I just have to work out what the heck I'm going to say... aaaahhhh!
Anyway, check it out, and let us know what you think. And if you have any idea why the recorded version isn't as smooth as the browser version, or what I could do to improve this, we'd love to know!
Hope you all have a supercalifragilisticexpi-Ho Ho Ho-cious Christmas
