  • Hey friends,

    I tried to set up some 3D buildings in a top downer, like in GTA or similar games.

    I installed copperlicht and paster, cause people suggested that, but I didn?t have any idea how to use them.

    What type of file do I need for the buildings and how do I get them in my layout?

    Would be absolutely awesome, if someone could help me out...perhaps with an Capx or some nice words :)

  • Absolutely no one wants to offend you or your idea. I think it?s great.

    I just think that it won?t work the way you try to manage it. Making a Facebook-Group etc isn?t really enough.

    We just started to disscuss the whole topic in general, when you suddenly try to launch something in a text post with links, that aren?t even clickable. That?s not really planned or attractive and so it won?t be successful in my opinion.

    If you would have planned a little more you could have made up a nice visual ( I guess here are 100s of artist (me, even i?m not the greatest, included) who would do that as a favor for the community.

    You could have asked Ashley to share that visual on the Facebook-Channel of C2.

    You could have been looking for sponsors or prices..(perhaps Ashley would give out an Upgrade or some artist make a sprite pack as a price ...there are 10000 possibilities to make this more attractive and at least

    Normally people are helpful and friendly in every case.

    To make that sure again, absolutely no one tries to speak down your effort, or ideas, but your behavior is not really pro-project, to be honest. You are feeling insulted, just by a little critic. That doesn?t really spread trust to anyone, that should spend hours to be part of your contest.

    This is, as people said not easy to manage....why be so harsh? Just give an idea some time to grow....

  • I'm currently on train, so i'm not sure if it is a problem of my mobile or a general thing, but all gravatars seem to be reseted to default.

  • To be honest, this presentation is not really the way a serious game jam should be presented I guess. You want people to put a lot of effort into something, they are not even rewarded for.

    A simple board post from a non-known user wouldn't get me in any way.

    This at least needs a visual, a landing page or something that even shows a lil bit of professionalism.

    just played GTA London today and thought about the camera ...

    Is this game made in 3D, or how did they make the effect when you come closer to buildings etc.

    Is there propably a method to do so in Construct2?

  • A monthly jam is way too hard to handle. It takes some time to make good games and people are very busy these days. I would just start one and see the response:)

    Maybe you could make it like a spring/summer/autumn/winter-Jam. :-P

    Even the 4-direction option does�t really work well.

    It seems to swim a little which looks absolutely stupid on walking enemys!

  • Same here with the back button, but for me it works in all browsers, so the bug is not that bad :)

    Anyone else having issues with the badges?^^ Sometimes I have 30 then 20....it�s kind of random :-D (not that this is a primary-fix thing :-P )
