Oh yeah There are definitely beavers missing!!

In the final game there is no way around a special beaver-char I guess! Just don´t know if he should be on hero or on evil side ....

  • Hello everyone,

Tobye and I are very proud to introduce you our next game for the Construct2/Newgrounds Jam.

It´s called "Hooray Heroes - 2030" and it´s sort of a "multiplayer-rebellion" game with lots of funny dudes, attacks and heaps of special abilities!

We are working day and night at the moment, to hopefully make an enjoyable and somehow unique game system that shows people the possibilities of Construct´s new multiplayer feature.

The game itself is multiplayer, and is a rather new sort of game: one player is the attacker and another is the defender. The attacker selects 3 heroes to take into battle, while the defender selects a series of enemy waves and a boss to pit against the heroes. Also the heroes have full control during the game, allowing them to select actions whenever they like, whereas the defender can only issue commands inbetween waves. This adds up to a totally unique style of gaming, and also dodges a lot of the latency issues found with regular multiplayer games.

We have already done several cross-continent test matches and are totally encouraged by what we see so far! Everythings running fine!

Just some info about the game:

In 2030 the whole globe has been enslaved by cruel former politicians, who became a world-leading alliance of tyranny. Using their terrible robots of doom, no one in humanity is brave enough to fight back against this awful destiny!

No one? Well that´s not quite true! Watching things from heaven, a handful of great philosophers and scientists decide to jump back to earth to form a rebellion-troop and withstand the global regime with all their greatness!

Join one of the sides and play as an awsome hero of humanity or a villain as bad as a man can be! Dare your friends and foes into the great battle for the future of our little planet!

Just bullet points to the game. Nothing is fixed here and if it seems to run good after release, there will be several more heroes, villains and other neat stuff!

    We want to offer:

    • a completely working cross-plattform PvP-mode to battle your friends
    • a single player mode for lonesome wolves
    • 12 heroes to start with, everyone with unique abilities
    • 5 bad politicians to terrorize the world with unique boss abilities
    • 6 types of evil robot-minions
    • lots of different tactics and strategies to go for
    • the possibility to rescue the bloody planet!

I really tried to make a somehow charming artstyle, that fits all the unique people we have in our game and showcases their abilities and what they did for humanity in a funny way. Here is a little collage of some heroes and enemies, to give you an idea of how the final results may look like.

If you like what you see and want to keep an eye on it, we would really like to invite you to follow us on twitter. There will be some more postings and updates of this little developement document in near future!

  • Honestly I think 75% is really too much for what you offer! FGL takes 10% for a million time better service! Also most of the Appstores don't take fees that high!

EDIT: Uuuuups sorry, i got something wrong here. It are YOUR apps that should be sold by us. Then this is a fair rate I guess

  • zenox98

Didn´t know that! You saved one of my older projects with this! Thanks!

  • Leaving the condition blank also causes "every tick related events I guess"

  • Yeah man, it really looks great When will we be ablate to test it?

  • You can set breakpoints, to help you debugging!

  • That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for C2-kind!

  • Yeah looks cool, but the way he helds the weapon looks somehow weird (behind his head?)

  • Just upload it to dropbox in public folder! Works perfect!
