  • This is a common issue that several users if not all are experiencing. I am sure they are working towards a resolution.

  • I am running into an issue when trying to view my profile:

    Invalid object name 'dbo.v2StoreWishlist'.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name 'dbo.v2StoreWishlist'.

Was just wondering if there was maintenance going on?

  • I honestly did not get into pc gaming till about 2001 or 2002. First PC games I ever played were Sim City 2000, Nox (awesome game that I still play), Unreal Tournament, and Blood II: The Chosen (yet another game I still play from time to time.

  • Oooooh yeah. Chrono Trigger is one of the greats, and of course Pokemon is a blockbuster genre unto itself.

  • Caqtus Bring it! #1 with 129.2!

  • I have seen some pretty large games made through Construct 2 already that play fine on my Android device. From what I gather so far, Construct 2 performs fine granted you keep in mind the limitations of the platforms you are programming for and make sure to use your resources wisely. There are probably 10 different ways to implement a specific feature into your game but you are going to want to use the least complicated way that has the smallest footprint.

As others have said, because of the broader target audience of Construct 2, it allows for poor code practices. The better you are at organizing your project, events, objects, so forth, the better your game will probably run. There are also a multitude of resources on this site that address things like do and don't, gotcha's, and general tips when it comes to performance:

  • Well...according to http://playboxie.com/ps4/about they claim that the only real current limitation is that most html5 games are aimed at keyboard/mouse and touchscreen devices. Always worth a try though.

  • A lot of the new games are great and all but at heart I am a old school gamer. What are your favorite console games starting from N64 on back? What did you find innovative?

Some of my games would be:

1.) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)

    2.) ogre battle 64 (N64)

    3.) Mega Man X (SNES)

4.) Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (SNES)

6.) Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (SNES)

    7.) Metroid (NES)

    8.) Castlevania (NES)

    9.) Final Fantasy (NES)

    10.) Illusion of Gaia (SNES)

These are just 10 games that defined my childhood and continue to have a large influence over me when it comes to game design. What are your old school games? What games made your childhood?

  • That is pretty unique and well put together. Good job.
