• After a few more hours of debugging, I realized something! I think the last issue with my setup was not including a user-invoked trigger. So the Game Services seem to be working! If anyone out there is stumped as I was and would like a guide to setting up Google Play Game Services on a mobile export; leave a reply to this post and I'll make one!

    Cheers,

    Avix

  • Hello Construct 2 community,

I've been struggling with this for a long time now and it seems like the internet doesn't have the solutions I'm looking for.

I'm trying to export an app to android (export using cordova and then through intel XDK), and I'm also trying to integrate Google Play Game Services to work on the mobile export. As I understand it, the normal Construct 2 plugin for Google Play Game Services doesn't work for mobile exports. Knowing this, I downloaded Cranberry's Cordova-game-plugin. This plugin seems to mirror the built in Scirra plugin, except that it lacks a condition to check if the service has loaded.

This is a guide that I followed to try and get the Cranberry plugin to work:

    https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/4864/h ... mes-plugin

No matter what I try, I can't get Google's Game Services (leader boards, achievements, etc.) to work on the mobile export. Does anyone have any experience with setting it up? (Using any method, as long as I can get it to work I'll be happy) I know this particular question regarding Google Play has been asked many times, but I have yet to find a decent in depth explanation.

If anyone has some insight, I would love some help; any and all tidbits of information / details would be incredibly helpful.

(If I can find a way to do this, I may even write a guide to help others, because it seems like this is a somewhat common topic)

    Thank you,

    Avix

  • Hey all,

I've worked with C2 for a couple of months now, and have familiarized myself with many aspects of the program. I have some time to work on games and honestly to me, there is no better way to start one's summer. I'm definitely not a pro, but I would like to offer my programming services and help to anyone interested in getting some assistance. I don't want money, I would just like some experience and maybe to work on a project that I can take a little credit for helping with. If you are interested at all, please send me a private message or reply below this post. I would love to help with any projects or tasks you may have.

Also, here is an example of a game that I am semi-complete with, just so you know that I'm not completely new!

    Thank you for your time

    Notes about the game:

-It is the card game war

    -Single Player + Multiplayer supported

-type your name, hit join, and then refresh the list, create a game or join an existing one.

-Once in the game, just click the card closest to you to play it

-Options such as WebGL and how the cards are played can be found by hitting the options button

-The red X takes you away from a game

-As far as I know the game doesn't have any bugs, so enjoy!
