  • The project has a nice foundation for being a really nice game, however it needs a lot of polishing and tweaking to make it satisfying to play. You are on the right track so just keep working. I would make the character a bit faster and more responsive, like the jump should be less floaty (I suggest implementing jump strength, you can find it on forums) like Lithileix said, the character should jump and fall quicker, everything should happen at a fast pace in my opinion and then it will be a lot of fun!

    thanks, this is a first prototype for testing the mechanics of the game, i will modify the jump and add the strenght to make it better, im working with a developer to sort this things out

  • thanks Lithileix, im working on lower difficulty, the double jump im not sure to remove it, or leave it as a powerup

    It has all the makings of an amazing game but I didn't really have much fun; I feel like making the jumps etc. less floaty and more satisfying would help out immensely.

    There are no sound effects, the programming is sloppy, and the art is... well... just terrible. Again, your game is awesome!

    i dont think yours is terrible, maybe try to find some free graphics that you can use for this kind of game, maybe try to find some robots or the obvious zombies <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":mrgreen:" title="Mr. Green">

    this is my first attemp at doing a videogame, this is a wip for about 2 months ( not full time ) its a prototype to test the mechanics of the game and kill the player all the time

    this game has no sound at this time.

    if someone is interested in continue this game with me ( i would like to form a team, i need sounds / music and a programmer) im a designer

  • Hello, it`s not working, maybe im doing something wrong

    this is what happens, the buttons on the pause layer ( hidden on start of layout layer 6) are still active when im playing and im able to click them

    On layer 6, click on the buttons on your construct 2 project and make their initial visibility hidden or visible as you want them.

    Next, on events, you need to add a condition that will enable you to click the buttons only if they are visible.

    You either check for the button visibility or for the layer visibility.

    But I believe what you are asking for is how to show the buttons.

    So just check if they are set to visible on their initial visibility in the properties panel.

  • so this weird thing is happening, i have in layer 6 the pause button a continue and an exit button, when the layout start that layer is hidden.

    but for some reason even when its hidden i can click on the buttons, on the hidden layer, is possible to solve this?

    The issue with my game wasn't the time scale, it was the player controls.

    Whenever I pressed W the player moved by 5 pixels.

    So it has nothing to do with time.

    I just set a variable pause and I set it to 0 if player controls are normal or 1 if player controls are disabled.

    You should to download NWjs from https://www.scirra.com/nwjs , then in project properties, in "Preview browser", enter NWjs. For fullscreen, in event sheet write.

    + On start of layout

    - Browser -> Request fullscreen

    When you will export your game, in export mode choose Node Webkit or NWjs. Sorry for my bad English, im from Russia

    im trying to make a game that launches the .exe in window mode, everytime i execute the game launches in fullscreen, i can´t find a way to do this, how can i do this??

    how can i change the resolution, for example 800x600, 1024x768, etc etc
