    Maybe update the default so it's not "XPF..." Had no idea what that was and thought the page was bugging out.

  • Cryptwalker themes are a work in progress keep an eye on the blog for more news!

    Andrex Thanks for the feedback! If you dislike the delay on the animations then you can disable them in the settings menu for the time being.

    Glad my feedback was useful! Keep it up guys.

  • I've been using C3 for a few days and I'm consistently impressed with how rich and full-featured it is. Scirra is hitting it out of the park IMO and it's a super solid base for the inevitable stable release.

    That said, my complaints are mostly cosmetic (it looks... quite ugly, haha.) My other three nitpicks so far:

    1. The tab bar wraps and it looks hideous... TBH I'd suggest Menu/Save/etc. and Username/Avatar on one line, and the tabs on the next, and then have all the other panels below them. Horizontal space for tabs is at a premium and if the properties and project panels, for instance, have to scroll an extra 30px or whatever I'd prefer that.

    2. There's inconstancies with dialogs, where OK/Cancel are reversed in some cases.

    3. Sometimes the fade/show animation on menus, like the user one, feel really slow. Make 'em 0.1ms.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Thanks for the response! I'll play around with it.

  • I'm making a Game Boy demake and it'd be much simpler if I could work in the "native" resolution of the Game Boy, then scale the exported/previewed game up by 300% if possible. Is this doable in Construct 2/3?

    Edit- I found this method: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/1258/c ... resolution

    However it doesn't seem to work in Construct 3.

  • +1 for a Linux client. :) Doesn't have to be right now but sometime in the future would be great. Don't want to use Windows anymore.

  • This needs to be fixed ASAP.

  • Crucial functionality, now the Arcade is actually viable! :P

  • Ah OK, that makes sense. Sorry. :)

  • Create an instance variable to the object CutscenePreview (ex index) and set a different number to each instance.

    From there you can make subevents under the event "On cutsecenes clicked" to test the value of cutscenes.index and so send to the correct layer.

    ex:

    + Mouse.On CutScenePreview clicked

    ++ CutscenePreview.index = 1

    ++=> goto layout MC-1.

    ++ CutscenePreview.index = 2

    ++=> goto layout MC-2.

    etc...

    OK, so setting a different instance variable on each one isn't working. It's persistent across all instances of the object instead of local to each object.

    I would have to disagree about working best maybe it pays out the most sometimes. Google Adsense has a algorithm that searches for a 3% or more increase in account ad clicks per month. If you are a small website or business, and Google notices a 3% or more increase in your sites ad clicks you will receive a email like this:

    Then they will keep all the money in your Google Adsense account, and banned your email address so they don't have to ever deal with you again.

    If you want to use the banner factory model for making money I would strongly suggest using an alternative to Google Adsense. It might not pay out as much but you will at least get paid.

    Another way people are making money from there games is buy selling virtual goods in game. Zynga uses this method on facebook, and out did EA Games in yearly sales last year.

    This fricking happened to me. =/ Such BS. I could even take like a year suspension, but nope, banned for life.

    I was actually thinking earlier today, maybe a feature Construct 2 could add in the future is the ability to use Google In-App Payments? It's useful for microtransactions/add-on content in the Chrome Web Store and Google+ Games (although it can be used by any web app or game.)

  • Umm, don't you think it would be really frustrating trying to use a complex piece of software on a tiny screen?

    TBH it's probably a better fit than a programming IDE. Just a little drag and drop.

    And anyways, no reason there couldn't be a tablet version. ;)

    Maybe after C2 is released.

  • Yeah, sounds like a different phone. Was the screen curved? That's only the case for the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.

  • Never really got into Reddit, but I do browse it occasionally. Seems like a good sub-community. Thanks for the link. :)
