    Hi all,

    Let me introduce to you my first Windows 8 game. It's called <font color="orange">Find Me</font>.

    I got a little problem with the name because it is very a common name for software. I really wanted my game to have that name since all the game purpose relies on finding words.

    So, to make a long story short, I created this game just to play a little with the Windows 8 object and I wanted to make a simple, little stressful, and educating game. Here is the link from the Windows store:

    <font color="orange">Gameplay</font>

    You have a minimum of time to find as many words as you can. Words are split into syllables and you must put the syllables in the right order. You have different game modes. Be sure to try them all.

    <font color="orange">Game purpose</font>

    I wanted to create something simple to test people global knowledge on different subjects. In addition, the fact that words are split, makes it a lot more harder to have a high score. I got to say that I consider this game quite difficult and I want to see how far people can go. At every end of game session, you can see how far you went in the different topics. This was made to see in which topic you are not very good and need to improve.

    I'm still working on the game even though most of the main features are already implemented. For instance, I implemented leader boards, achievements, personal high scores and progress to track.

    My bad, you were right. I tried to add the condition inside another. I didn't know that in that case, the conditions are not displayed. Sorry about that. Thanks for you answer by the way.

    I don't know if I'm the only one with that issue but I downloaded the latest clay.io plugin from your site. And for some reason, when I want to add new conditions, only two are displayed.

    All the other conditions are not present. I can only see the "General Conditions" such as "On clay failed" and "On clay ready". Here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

    Actually it's a real bug in the website. Nevertheless, it is not very important to solve it now. I think the Scirra team has a lot more important bugs to fix first. So, it's not a big deal that is doesn't work.

    Don't bother yourself with that ^^.

  • Oops, I haven't read my own post for ages. I checked your typing version of the game I got to say that it is better than mine. If you had developed the game, I'm sure you would have used lot less events than I did (I hope this sentence make sense). It's really good.

    Anyway, the thing is, when I stopped working on the game I don't pay enough attention to the feedback I receive. So I want to apologize for that to all people who contact me and the bugs people found lately on the game.

    I'm about to submit my new little game I made for the touchjam. I don't think I'll win but for me, it will be a good thing to have all your feedback on the game so that I can imporve it.

    Lol. Glad to hear you love the game. Keep playing and I think you will be better. The game is difficult on purpose but it is possible to go very far. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Just a small update on the game. I saw that people were asking for more words to type in the game. The words before the update has 150 different words to type. Now, it has 200!!!! So 50 additional words to type.

    As a surprise, I also added a new type of enemy. The bat. This one is kind of difficult to defeat ;). It makes the game a little harder.

    Thanks again for all your support and feedback. I hope the game will get even better votes. It's also official, I used the 100 events. Before the update I used 97 events. At least, I can still add new words since it is not costing me events.

    Rien ? dire la dessus. Je suis bluff?. Mention suppl?mentaire au compositeur des musiques. Un pur r?gal! J'avais envie de rejouer ? "Onimusha 2" en ?coutant vos musiques. J'ai h?te de l'essayer sur Scirra Arcade. Il va faire un tabac votre jeu, j'en suis persuad?.

    si j'ai bien compris vous avez d? concevoir enti?rement les niveaux et placer ? la main tous les ?lements du d?cors. Faudrait penser comme le dit le commentaire plus haut ? rendre les choses automatiques ;). ?a fait que vous n'ayez pas ? vous occuper d'un paquet de trucs et du coup, le jeu a une dur?e de vie infinie.

    J'ai pas de d?fauts ? donner sur le jeu en plus! Je vais encore y jouer pour voir si je trouve un bug ou autre. Encore bien jou? les gars.

    PS. Si vous avez du temps, surtout n'h?sitez pas ? tester mes jeux aussi. ?a me ferait plaisir d'avoir votre retour.

    ENGLISH PART:

    Very nice game guys! Especially the music. Congrats to the guy who composed them. The music made me want to play Onimusha 2 again on Playstation 2. I'm looking forward to test it on Scirra arcade. I'm sure the game will be a success.

    As mentioned in the previous comment, you should consider make them automatic so that you don't have to place and code everything in the game. For example the position of elements in the game. This will make also the game longer.

    I'm going to test it again to see if I find any bug but, really I don't think I will find some. Great job!

  • This game is really polished. I have nothing to say man. It's really well made. How long did it take you to finish it? Congratulations!

    I really didn't find any bug in your game. I will play it again to see. The gameplay is quite simple so, I don't really expect to detect a HUGE bug in the game. To finish, With sounds and a nice background music, your game will be greater. Good job anyway. If you have time, feel free to try also my games by the way. I would appreciate.

    Second, to celebrate, I added a couple of new stuff to the game. I really didn't want to work on this game again <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> but with all your feedback and the success of the game, I had to add new stuff for you guys.

    Here are the different updates:

    • [Added] New zombie faces. Now, there are 10 different zombies spawning. Of course, they are all spawning randomly.
    • [Added] 20 new words to type!!!!!! For instance, "construct", "scirra", and of course "anthony" <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
    • [Changed] the explosion sprites were not "brutal" enough. I used Metal Slug grenade sprites. So beautiful
    • [Changed] Every time you kill a zombie, you earn 10 points instead of 5 (points in the previous version).
    • [Fixed] Choosing a zombie among zombies with same first letter. I thought I fixed this earlier but the bug was still there. I think this time I got him.
    • [Added] Two new backgrounds!!!!! Yeah. When you reach certain levels, you will have new backgrounds. So, if you want to see them, better be good <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Thanks a lot buddy. you're not the first one to tell me that. And believe it or not, I've never played Typing of the Death. I just watched a video on youtube of the game. The background behind letters came from there

    I uploaded a new version of the game. Don't hesitate to try it if you enjoyed the first time you played it.

  • So, I replaced most of the text with text sprites. The game looks definitely better that way and more..."zombirrific". <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />. I'll add small new stuff everyday with my remaining events.

    Don't forgot that I used the Free Edition and I already used 91 events by now. So, I got 9 left and I don't know what to do with them. We'll see.
