  • Nice. I actually tried the umbrella idea but didn't stick with it. But let me try out a few ideas and see what I'll find for a future update

    For the controls I see what you mean with being able to touch anywhere on the left and right side. I'll try fo fix that as well. The game was actually controlled with the tilt function at the beginning but I changed it because I wanted more precise controls and to be honest I hate to play games based on the tilt function So hard to play when you're laying down.

    I will update the first post here tomorrow with some info about the making of this game. I used a very straight forward workflow and I actually made this and got it up and running on the market in only like 4-5 hours.

    I do agree that the player sprite doesn't really fit the mood. I actually tried a few different ones, a bug, a flower and a ballet dancer. But I felt that it had to be something symmetrical so you have full control of where your hitbox is. So that is why I choose the triangle

    But I will keep trying out different sprites as well and if you have any suggerstions please tell me

  • Does anyone on this forum know how to save your game and highscore on a mobile device without it getting reset after you close the game? I've tried everything but nothing works, web storage, save/load and dictionaries.

    It only saves during a session then it resets when you close and start the game upp again.

    My game relies on this and right now I'm stuck. Am I the only one here making a game for mobile devices?

    I usually always find a solution on all my problems but not this one. So if somebody can help me I would be super happy

  • Thank you for your answer. I've tried the save load system now and it now saves the highscore during the session. But when I close the app and start it up again my highscore is gone. Any ideas how to save the highscore and global variables even when you close the game on mobile?

    I've been searching for an answer but I can''t seem to find any solution on how to save on a mobile device. I'm working with android now and my game runs nicely with Cacoonjs but the webstorage does not work on my android phone. (Works fine while testing on computer browser)

    Then I tried crosswalk and the game lags as hell and save doesn't work here either.

    So my questions are:

    1. How do I save on my android phone?

    2. How do you export your game with crosswalk so it runs smoothly?

    My game isn't even heavy and its totally unplayable with crosswalk :/ Can't understand what I should do.

    Azu I agree if you are coming from for example Maya or 3Ds max. Then it feels quite messy. But I think that is just something you'll get used to after playing around with it for a while.

  • I'm a graduated 3D-artist and I do most of my work in 3Ds max and Zbrush. I can assure you that every 3D-software feels too complicated in the beginning. But after a few tutorials on youtube you'll be able to get the hang of it and boom you'll love it and can make whatever you want Good luck!

  • Harishankar I also tried to export my game. I got it to work with Cajoonjs on my android phone but it lags a bit. Did it lag for you? If no, how do you export it for android so it doesn't lag. Its not a heavy game at all.
