  • Have a level editor game (Minecraft-Terraria clone, copy and etc.)

    I used awesome plugin "Sprite bank"

    Everything works cool.

    The problem I have, when I save my blocks, and then load them, new blocks go over old blocks.

    Is there is a way to destroy old block and right after that load new?

    I tried to do like this:

    On Load button pressed - > blocks destroy -> system wait 1 sec -> load blocks

    But this causes mistake and Java error and etc.

    Can somebody know hot to destroy old blocks before new blocks loaded?

  • You can easily use free servers to put your game without any problems.

    Step 1

    go to zymic.com

    Step 2

    Register there for free and create your site name.

    (here is the example of my minecraft clone game using their free host

    builderonline.clanteam.com

    Step 3

    Export your awesome game from construct (export as HTML 5 game)

    Step 4

    Download FILE ZILLA program. which allows you to upload your game to your web site.

    (Basically, follow the instructions how to upload files on your website, which you can find when you create your site name on zymic.com

    Thats it.

    Dont forget to add Set MIRRORED (for left) AND NOT MIRRORED (for rigth). So the dog will always turn its had to the player.

  • P.S. If there are going to be any obstacles on the dog`s way try this.

    1) Dog on collision with "Sprite obstacle" -> Dog simulate control JUMP.

    So the dog will jump over the solid obstacles.

  • That is very simple.

    Create a dog with its own sprite, animation and ect. Give the dog platform behavior.

    Then do this

    1) Dog -> compare X -> Less or equal then Player X -> simulate control RIGHT

    2) Dog -> compare X -> Greater or equal then Player X -> simulate control Left

    So, now when the dog is located not at the same spot on X coordinate with the player, it will move until it gets him

    I guess? I just won`t make it, cause it is looks hard and the main reason, every time I tried to learn arrays - its just don`t come to my brain. There are some thing people don`t understand.In make case it is arrays )

  • What kind of game are you making? What things do you want to be saved?

    While I wont do it for you I will gladly help talk you through how to do it yourself. If you dont get arrays, forget about them - there are other ways to save what you need (Unless your making an rpg, that could get complicated).

    I ll be glad if you show me a good way. I asked Ashley, but he is a busy guy, so what I`ve got from him was "Use arrays" =)

  • Its a game with kinda Minecraft gameplay. You can find it in Arcade, it is called "Kopatel 2D"

    What I need to make is when player press Q button (for example) it saves all blocks on their position and it saves the amount of players lives. Then person who plays, close browser, shutdown his computer, go to grandma for vacation, comes back, lunches game, press E (for exmaple) and position of the blocks become exactly the same, when he left a game.

  • I still have problems with save and load menu. I looked everywhere, asked everybody. But I could not figured that out. I just don`t get it (arrays and webstorage)

    So, I `m just looking for a kind person to send my .capx game file, and if that person would be able to create save and load option in my game, I would be soooo thankful to him or her.
